265/65/16 and 265/70/17 are NOT the same overall size, the first would be smaller. 265/70/17 and 265/75/16 are essentially the same overall size. Not sure if that was just a typo or what but, just had to say something because I am bored. :)

Nope, not exclusive to second gens, any arb product is on the GB. No definite word on gears yet... Assembled would be awesome but discounted ring & pinion and master kits would be nice too.

Nah it's 1st gen too, I'm in this. Not sure if he is doing gears yet tho. I think the rd129/rd90 fits both first and second gen, just not the 8" diffs w/ elockers

I know we all are a little borred at times... its why we are on here so much! :) its kinda like saying 32& 7/8" is not the same as 33". You can buy two 33" tires made by different manufacturers and they are gonna differ in size by even 1/2 in! Does that mean you shoud regear cuz your new tires are 1/2" taller ? What happens if you run low on your tread? Man.. i should regear... ha ha. Sorry but my point is just cuz you get a taco and cant tow something with it regear to something extreme? Youre better off selling it and get a 1 ton and you have a truck you can tow with and you'll have a real bed made out of metal you can throw stuff in and not worry your gonna put a whole in it :D

If you want a good truck you get a Toyota, if you want a work horse you get a diesel!
Edit: the differents is about 2" between 265/65/16 to 265/70/17 but there is no reason to go with 4:88's

I'm rolling 285/70/17 on stock gears. I pull a 20' aluminum boat with no problems. Its lite at just under 4000lbs and I never dropped under 55 going up steep grades. That being said I could use a little more power but not enough to regear. Now if my truck was solely an off road rig I would forsure. If you gear up you lose top end speed. But gain low end tourqe. So if you plan on driving 8o on the hwy those days are going yo be over if you go with to high of gears.

The original tires are 17s. It's not a typo. I'll post picks of the original and current wheels and tires tomorrow. I'm still undecided between 4.56 and 4.88 gears. I don't want a bigger truck. I only intend to tow what the Tacos are advertised to tow. Really I just want my 2005 Taco back. It was better.

...and the pictures comparing stock Bridgestone Dueler 265/65/R17 to General Grabbers 265/70R17. Just the facts, please.

Getting back on topic...any word on assembled thirds for this group buy?
