very cool! interesting breed choice too, that's real cool to get a rare breed like that...they seem like a great breed overall and a great looking dog as well

The Chinook was bred as a sled dog starting in the 1920's and they started by mixing a Mastiff and a Husky. There are a few other breeds that have strategically been mixed over the past 75 years to make the breed what it is today. Notably there is some German Shepard in there somewhere. The Chinook was finally recognized by the American Kennel Club as a breed in 2011 IIRC and is now part of the Working Group for the Westminster Dog Show.

They are super friendly, and typically not too hyper. Ours has been quite mellow especially for a puppy. extremely intelligent and trainable and very social and great with kids.

23-25" at the withers. 50-90lbs. Both parents of this pup were 65lbs and 24".

They do well in the heat and shedding isn't bad. They shed lightly (very minor) through the year and "blow their coat" (heavy shed) twice a year.

I'm stoked beyond words at how well my new PrInSu Designs roofrack turned out for the Land Cruiser. Mine was the first one Zach Scott has built for an 80 series so there was a bit of iteration along the way but man it is exactly like I had hoped. Love it. Now it's time to throw the Tepui Tent up there. This is a major photo dump since this is a rack for Cruisers that hasn't been on the market 'til now, and I'm sure there will be questions. So I'll post as many photos as possible to show details that will hopefully address most of the questions.

I'm not big on roof racks, but if I needed one that would be the one to get. I like how well it fits the roof and is fairly low profile. Too bad it blocks the firing port... err sunroof.

What do you think about the yodateq gull wing doors? I don't think he's released pricing yet, but I could see them being handy.

The cross bars can all be moved, so it won't block the sunroof. I'm not a roofrack guy either, but legitimately needed one in this case. This rack is sweet.

Those gullwing doors are cool I couldn't use them for a couple reasons. My kids ride in the back and so I need the windows, but even if I was using the rear of the truck for gear, my truck is too tall for those to be practical. I wouldn't be able to reach anything anyway. I think that's going to be the case with just about any lifted 80, unless the owner is very tall or you only want to access something close to the opening.
