    Hello,
I have a 2012 dclb tacoma with a Readylift 3"F/2"R. I currently have on 17" MB Wheels TKO 17 X8.5 6-139.70 -6 BKMTXX (really a noob at what these numbers mean) with 265/70r17 tires on em ( Cooper Discoverer ATP's) After a few weeks i realized the tires are slightly too small leaving a ton of wheel well exposed. I tried searching for a taller tire however discount tire here has 285/70r17 as the next size. I used calculators and calculated that I'll get another another inch all around if i went to that size.
Can i go up to that size with my current wheels and not rub the UCA's and others?

Put a lowering kit on instead.

    Some stuff...
    Welcome!

285/70/17's will definitely fill out those wheel wells nicely, however you might need to do some trimming and possibly CMC if you plan to wheel. I run those and had to CMC & trim.

    Good luck!

285's will work, but before you drop all that money on new wheels I'd consider a better lift on your $30k truck besides hockey pucks and a block/leaf.

Wait until you make it flex all you can. I have 265's on and they fill the wells up really good, when I am at full flex.

probably. depends on the wheeling, to get back to one of our riding spots my old truck had to got through some decent sand whoops and did fine. I wasn't CMC'd running a 3'' lift on 285 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Some people do some don't. I did have to do some plastic trimming up front but minor at best and not noticeable. I ran a spacer lift for a week and realized it was a horrible mistake and upgraded to some billie/5100 coil overs and 5100 rears was worth every penny.

Does 17 X8.5 6-139.70 -6 BKMTXX tell me anything about if I will need a CMC?
