Take 2: Is anyone planning a meet/trail trip this weekend on 14th, 15th?

 

Weekend before finals week for me so no. Haven't heard of anything else going on

Dakota is a smart man. Tow mirrors are not for tacomas

 

Regardless, I like to be able to see when towing large items. I will actually be putting these into good use. The Tacomas are no longer a small truck

 

Dang that sucks. Have you tried pulling the spark plugs and letting the pressure off the cylinders?

 

And just how in the Sam Hell did you do that?!?!?

Hello everybody! Just moved to Everett and am really excited about this area. Just checking in and saying hello.

 

The base auto hobby shops aren't closed down here?! This would be a dream come true for me!

 

The Marysville for Naval Station Everett is currently closed. But all the other bases Auto hobby shops are open. I swap out my gears today, but 3 of my 4 brake lines are leaking and I don't know how to bleed my brakes. So currently my truck is sitting at the McChord Auto Hobby shop parking lot.

 

Which ones did you loosen, just the two rears at the backing plates right?
Hopefully they are not cross threaded, they should thread in fairly easy by hand and then tighten firm, but not too tight. It doesn't take much pressure to seat the flair.

 

Bleeding the brakes takes two people, always start with the one furthest away from the master cylinder, and make sure the reservoir has enough fluid. Have someone sit in the drivers seat and pump the brakes a couple times and hold a slight pressure on them while you open the bleeder. Make sure to close the bleeder before the second person lifts off the brake peddal. Keep repeating this while checking the reservoir until all the air is out of the system.

Hey everyone! New to TW and just getting into the whole truck world.
So far havent done much to start a build on my truck but cant wait to get it started! How often do you guys have meets? Are there a lot of guys around the bases/Seattle area? What is a good shop anyone can recommend around that area/Puyallup area?
First project is redoing my suspension/lift!
