It was an aftermarket ebay, mirror and license plate camera combo. I think I paid 80 plus shipping. Attached camera power to the tail light reverse bulb.
I then tapped into power in the overhead console to power the mirror using an unused harness.

No, it's wired. I ran the video cable along the frame following the other electrical looms to a plug under the seats on the driver's side. Then ran the cable up the pillar where the seat belt is and pulled it through to the overhead console. That was actually the easiest part. :) figuring out the electrical was the time consuming part for me.

Sounds about like what I had to do. $20 camera and and $20 monitor and I've had a quality back up camera for months now that's wired to reverse and anytime. Man was wiring that correctly an interesting journey

I believe you are correct. The previous always took to dealer and followed all the maintenance intervals therefor I know I'm good until 90k. The guy gave a notebook the size of a telephone book. A bit excessive if you ask me but its a nice resource to have now.

Dropped of my rock sliders and rear bumper off with my Line-X guy. On my way out someone asks me about my truck and comments that I have some pretty big tires on there (265/75/16), I was trying not to laugh at him as I was thinking to myself I was just on TacomaWorld.com looking at the 37's thread and thinking I needed to at least get up to 35s!!!

    This site is dangerous, haha

Added some dee zee nerf bars to my access cab. I"m not 100% happy with them, because I wanted them "higher", and closer to the body, but I'll run with them for now...

There is a fix for that. You need to order a set of these, puts them even with the rocker.

running boards, Bed Extender, Elect. Pop-n-Lock, Fogs, CC, Int. Wipers, LED's, aftermarket tails, CodeAlarm 1151PRO, Dia. Plate Sill Protectors, Jumper's LEDs, Devil Horns.
    Installed:
    • Kahtec Technologies blinking smart stop delay version to third brake light (Kahtec),
    • WeatherTech Digital Fit floor liners & front side window deflectors (Total Automotive Performance) - no fitment issues. Did a thorough cleaning of the interior before the floor liner install including an ArmorAll treatment.
    • Clearview-Rearview Mirror Riser with Ram Ball (BirdDawg Industries),
    • Cobra CDR820 drive-HD dash cam and hardwire kit (Amazon) - the field of view could be wider, but works well so far,
    • "Horns on Fire" (Diaz Fabrications) - from the November 2014 production run - had to remove a small cast protrusion in the center of the grill to yield a flat surface before mounting, and
    • Replacement fog housings (eBay) - after water removed the chrome from one of the housings lower sleeves due to a defective bulb seal
Need to give the truck a bath now if the rain holds off.
