Morning All ...Busy week this one was. I almost felt like I was back at work instead of retired:eek:...

Glad to hear the back is on the mend Tom and surgery isn't necessary. :thumbsup:Keep up the therapy and get better soon. How's the kitchen coming Tom?

That was really a nice tribute to Charlie, Mark. I'm glad the Vets office did that for you.

Hope everything is good with Paul. Sending positive thoughts his way :D.

Whoever it was that thought of putting bathroom sinks on top of vanity cabinets probably never had to crawl into one to repair/replace the faucet . Kitchen cabinets are tight enough.

    Happy PI day all.

Worked through a LED light problem yesterday and today. The overhead lights work great with the dimmer and a simple 3way switch by the laundry room door so we can turn them off and on when entering and leaving the kitchen via the garage. The under cabinet lights on the other hand were not as kind. There was a flicker to all the LED puck lamps that was induced by the LED rated dimmer from Legrand in the Adorne collection. I had to make both switched simple on/off 3way configuration to work. Believe me getting the dimmer out of the 5 gang outlet was no piece of cake. The switch snaps into the housing and was a PITA to unsnap out of the housing. But it is done and so we are on to the next task.

Looking to purchase 3 glass shelves for the glass front wall cabinet. I will say that the proper glass to use is a wee bit pricey. I will be shopping for a deal next week.

The more I use non-incandescent bulbs the less I like dimmers. I'm down to just 3 in the house, and even those are up on high all the time.

Did you put LEDs in the overhead lights too? I've been dying to do that in our kitchen but the room needs a lot of light and I've been waiting for LEDs that fit my cans and make enough lumens. I think I finally found them: BR30, 1100 lumens, 2700K color temp. Every bit as bright as halogen and the color is so close to the same that you can't tell them apart.
Glass shelves eh. Are you putting lights in the cabinet too?

    Latest update from Paul himself!!

sorryfor not letting you all know I'm ok! been trying to get used to thistemp. new home which is more like a nursing home then a rehabcenter, out right sucks, very old people in wheel chairs andsleeper beds that are like beds on wheel chairs.

crazy feeling when it happened no idea until the chest pain and shortnessof breath then weak legs. I called 911 told then where I was got insideout of the cold and waited , state police got there first then ems, shortly latter I heard the bird with in a 1/2 hour I was at theuniversity hospital with a pissed off flight crew who wanted to take meto their own hospital. the one I feel killed Charlie with sub 0 nursingcare but got told if you won't take me to university let ems take me to thenearest hospital in new York state. the near by trauma center. having aMI is sure is a scare . no more flying is the down side.

worst is over save the 10 inch long cut on my chest and the pain, oxycodone every 6 hours, handles that and sandy coming up to help out wasgreat, oh well 2 weeks in here then home ,

Great to hear from Paul! Sounds like he is nearly back to his normal cantankerous self. :)

I know what he means about nursing homes; I've spent too much time in them myself. My wife's stepfather called them "warm storage". One of the downsides to living longer and moving around so much I guess.
