    I know there are differences between the steel wheels and the OR Alloy wheels but don't know the specs for sure. I do know that there is no way you can fit 285's on the stock steel wheels without spacers. The 255s fit fine though.

    Nope, they don't clear the UCA with my current wheels so they won't be going on till I either cave and get a set of wheel spacers or buy new wheels. I don't like spacers so it probably won't be that option. Or I might just sell them and get another set of 255's

    I like my 255s. Wheeled with a guy this weekend who had 285s and spacers. His footprint after airing down was much wider than mine aired down but I was still able to do everything he could. His tires are significantly heavier than mine. gotta consider weight too.

    That's good to hear
    There are pros and cons... More pressure and grip with the narrow tires but bad for floating on the mud... I always figured on firm off road trails the 255's would be far superior

    I am fine with it. Definitely love my 255's. Just wish there were more options in the size.

    i really like the cooper ST maxx... they are a ghost on in the 255/85r16 but i hear they are out there

    How do you like your OME setup? Does it ride stocking on the road? Good manners on the road? Does it perfore we'll offroad? Soak up bumps on and offroad? Sorry to keep asking you all the questions I just really like the way your truck looks and wouldn't mind mine to look like it!

    I like the OME setup quite a bit. That being said I have nothing to compare it with and I don't really remember what stock felt like.

    My opinion from personal experience and from what I have read is that OME is more geared towards overland travel. If you need something reliable, low maintenance, that carries loads well and performs moderately well in a variety of circumstances then get OME.

    If you want the best ride possible both on an off road then don't get OME. Get the latest tech from King, Fox, or Icon. I definitely think they offer a better ride (Again haven't ever tried them) but I also think they come with more upkeep and maintenance.

    Most people are rebuilding those types of adjustable coilovers pretty often to keep them in good condition. OME stuff isn't as sophisticated but doesn't really need to be messed with once it is on.



    All that aside, the new OME BP-51 would probably be the best choice but I am not sure when it comes out. I imagine it will take the proc of OME and combine them with more tech and performance.
