I have no complaints with the Napier Sportz truck tent.

If you're always around some trees, I love my hammock collection

This is what I was thinking. Saw it on Amazon for a fair price. I don't camp a whole lot. Only really plan on going out when the weather is nice with the lady. She's not as big of a fan of the outdoors as I am :D

How's the fitting of the Napier Josh? Easy to put up, etc?!

Oh yeah, it's a snap to put up and take down - takes me about 15 - 20 minutes by myself max.

Fitting is good. I have a short bed so it's a tad long, but still fits nonetheless. For a while I was using a regular airbed that worked okay, but at the end of the season last year pulled the trigger on a fitted air mattress for the short bed that works great!

    None.

It stinks having your truck unavailable for use because there's a tent in it.

I sold my Campright and went back to a ground tent.

I agree, but with that said I did just buy an rtt for a two week camping trip. Only difference is shutting the tent is a lot faster than taking down a bed tent and mattress. My buddy has one and by default my vehicle is the go to ride when a vehicle is needed.

How long does the RTT take to pop up and/or shut down?

Top completely open up the window awnings and all, about 7-8 minutes. To just get the basic tent up to where you can sleep in it without the window vents open, about 2 minutes.

To fold down completely about 10 minutes since you have to put away the awning rods and fold in the sides, the travel cover can be a pain to put on if its freezing cold.

Agreed. It's really fast, but this is solo time. Have you ever put up a ground tent by yourself? How about on a windy day? RTTs are just so super easy and convenient, that was the big selling point for me.

I'd love an RTT, but I don't camp enough anymore to justify the expense.

When I did camp a lot, I had a Viking pop up. Someday I'll get another pop up, but a really small one.

I actually bought this thing to help me camp more. I work in sales so I normally work Saturdays so I don't get a real weekend very often, that led to me staying at home way too often. The rtt makes quick overnighters a piece of cake. I'm hoping to do a lot if that this summer so I can be on the bike early enough to beat the heat.

Good to hear. What type of airbed did you end up buying? See a bunch online, but I'd like to know what TW users go with?

This is a good point... I don't have a ton of gear though and wouldn't be going for a long camp so I'm not sure "more room" is an issue for me at this point.

I bought mine to camp more as well. Before the rtt I had camped twice in my truck, after that is just wasn't near comfortable enough just sleeping on a sleeping pad, plus I have a short bed.

another reason was because I live in Washington and camp where there are bears/Cougars (and not the good kind of cougar ;) ) so i wanted to be off the ground.
