I think so, I have painted some cardboard with the paint I want to use. I am going to see how that matches first, but I think that's the plan.

Here some more pics of the final mock up with things pretty much shimmed up how I want it, lights mounted, license plate on, and fender liners trimmed.

It really looks good. My bumper is still on my back porch. It is suppose to be in the sixties next weekend, so maybe I can get it painted.

Not to spam pictures or anything but here we are on a trail this weekend. I love the piece of mind armor and a winch up front has given me. Got stuck in a fairly hairy snow bank and had to winch at one point. Nice to have that frame brace :)

What did you do to "shim up" your bumper? Between Eddy's building and your shimming, you got a really good looking fit. Did you just move the bumper up and down--left and right within the limits of the mounting holes until it mated up nicely? Or was more involved?

Yes, just moved it around, and used fender washers to shim it how I wanted it. I do worry that the shimming might affect strength, since it keeps the bumper from getting as good a contact patch with the mounting surfaces.

Yea...I wouldn't put washers behind it. As you said it doesn't have a solid mounting point. I tried that when mounting mine just to see how it fit. The bumper wiggled a little. I cut these plates out of scrap steel and they worked great. No wiggle at all with these. Solid as a rock. I ultimately didn't use them. I was just playing around with the fitment.

Eddy has the best prices and top quality. Even without the group buy you should look into getting a bumper

If it's painted it should be installed. Isn't that the rule?
