I have a project in mind and would be interested in purchasing just standard cross bars to use. Would you sell the bars separate from the rack. Would greatly appreciate it please let me know. Would like about 12-14 bars.

    Thanks J

This may have already been discovered, but after I saw the tip of rotating the rear bar from Zach and Adam's FZJ80 project, I flipped mine for more surface mounting area and I found that my Yakima accessory bar clamps have the perfect 1/4" carriage bolt to slide into the channels. As long as your accessory as a diameter of 1.5" or less it will clamp securely to the rack.

If all the components are firmly seated together and the lock washers are fully compressed you are in good shape. No need to go crazy on a 6mm bolt.

Could you provide the source you used for these bolts? I ordered in the group buy and would like to have SS versions of the bolts in your photos. It would be nice to have the bolts before my rack arrives .

Nice. Zach when you get a second could you make a hardware section in OP? I feel like there has been lots of good info in here lost in the sauce.

Zach & Tony, what was the issue with the Flippac + rack? Mine fit fine. About 1000 miles since the install and no rubbing issues so far. It is a tight fit though and I haven't flexed the truck since the install. Heading out in a few weeks so I'll have more feedback then.

I thought about lowering the rack with shorter spacers, but those tabs that hang down would need to be cut off. They would definitely hit the roof.
