Wish it had a manual shift transfer case and hubs instead of the auto stuff.

    No headlights on reminder chime
Would be nice to have a little light by the ignition to make it easier to insert the key in the dark
As posted earlier, manual transfer case would be nice too
Farily limited adjustment available with the vent directors - like the round fully adjustable ones but they are on the 2016 finally.
    Flimsy tailgate is biggest disappointment.
Little nit-picky stuff so really overall very happy with her!

I have a premium sound and love my brakes. Mst are subjective regardless. Just took my taco on a spin before commenting on this. I love it. Yeah Toyota can improve mileage so I don't have to stop all the time. Cold engine winning etc. But love this thing

Had a 2000 tRD. Sold it for a wife! Just got a 2015 4 door off road. Been waiting a long time for this day!

Dislikes. Gas light comes on way to early.
Traction control. Love driving in the snow. This truck is hard to get sideways without abs or TC going crazy.
Radio to iPhone connection is pretty weak in terms of functionality. Come on Toyota. Is that all you came up with?
That's all I have for now.

Just turn off the traction control. Think there's a mod that allows you to switch off ABS as well main reason you cant turn ABS off unmodded I'm sure is because its an FDOT regulation.

Not crazy about the phone/radio set up either I have an android and it seems to randomly choose to not see my contacts sometimes.

I also think the left hand arm rest is too low its just not comfortable feeling not uncomfortable really just not ideal (I'm 6 foot 2). I have to either rest my elbow on it or my entire arm and then I don't have the best grip position.

I don't like how the dash lights are always on either once or twice before I got used to this I drove down a street at night before I realized that I only had DRLs on

Yes, and the dash lights always on has also caused me to leave my headlights on - get used to seeing it on all the time . . . and no lights on reminder chime.

I found that my phone contacts (Android) would display if I was stopped, but not when rolling. Could only get to my saved favorites when driving.

After driving it a month...I would like an outside temp gauge and heated outside mirrors. Minor things that I kinda thought would come with the truck. My much older vehicles have these as standard equipment.

Lack of internal storage space under the rear seat. Yes it has some, but the Honda Ridgeline has a ton more. Also, rear seat leg room is horrid.

I purchased a rear-view mirror with a HomeLink system and in the corner of the mirror an OAT temperature. I drove over to a custom stereo shop installer and had him remove the Factory Mirror on my 06 Tacoma and install the mirror. The shop also ran the wire for the temp sensor. Works great! I think the Mirror (made by GENTEX) - cost about $200 and the installation was about $150.

What's the knock on the Toyota frame? Other than rust issues I think it's as strong as it needs to be for the truck that rests on it.

Fully boxed frames just make 1/4 tons too heavy IMHO. Watch, with tightening fuel economy regulations we will see the return of c-channel frames on light duty truck with "high strength" steel to save weight.

considering all the frames being replaced, rust is sort of a big one.

Fair enough, but that's a metal problem not really a problem in the design. I guess I differentiate there. Hopefully they have it right in the newer Tacoma's like mine.
