I normally don't do this kind of stuff but would appreciate the votes. I've entered a contest sponsored by Winnebago. As some of you know me and the Family sold our sticks and bricks house and are now full time RV'rs. I'd appreciate if everyone could go to the link and vote for the Forza and Solei motorhome. http://a.pgtb.me/CGrSZG

Did a little searching but no luck so i'll ask here....Does anyone (or has anyone) run Nitto Trail Grappler M/T? Im running them in 285/65/18 and having issues dialog in th air pressure. I initially ran mid 30's PSI which gave a pretty comfy ride but was brutal on the MPG. Lately I'm running 50 up front and 40 in the rear. The MPG is doing a lot better but the ride is pretty rough. Ive read about the chock test for better wear but what about a happy median for MPG and smoother ride. Any info will be a great help.

I'm running a set of 295x70x18's and run my psi at 50 all the way around. No complaints. Just switched from Goodyear wrangler mtrs w/kevlar and I think the nittos are much much smoother and a lot more quiet.
Also guessing they are E rated tires which in short means the Side wall is a little thicker and a few more belts in the tire. So on our midsized truck they will ride a little more rough then a LT, P, or D rated tire as they are much heavier/stronger/thicker tires then what is recommended for our trucks.

    Chalk test....

Use chalk to draw a line across the tire tread and roll about 10-15 feet in the driveway or street... It should wear evenly off the tire otherwise youre not good to go

Ive familiar with the chalk test. Does the chalk test equate to a healthy mix of smooth ride and decent MPG? I know its best for the wear factor.
