the reason i haven't chopped em is because i know if i do i will think my tires look small...... then i will get 35's ..... which will mean regearing....... which will mean lockers........ which will require on board air. You see how this could potentially become a slippery slope very quickly hahahaha. My truck is teetering on the edge right now. My aim is currently focused on more practical things like a rack for the camper and a winch. All of the other stuff will come don't worry

Took the rear bumper off to get it cleaned up and probably repaint or powder coat it. Without the weight of the bumper/swing out i have about 3 in of rake.....

If you needed some cheap clearance this would be the way to do it .....

Question as to what I've wondered about my truck. With so much lift in the rear, what are you going to do to the front? Leave the rake? Ive pondered going with an aluminum front plate bumper and adjusting my front billies up :notsure:

My truck is empty right now. All i have is the cap with the plywood platform i built in the back. I like having rake bc by the time i load up for a trip I have upwards of 300lbs of gear. Firewood, water, icechest, camping gear, recovery gear, bikes, tools, etc. I am still learning how to carry all of this weight efficiently and ensure that i have the carrying capacity to accommodate it all.

Empty Center of the hub to fender.......

    Front: 23-1/8"
    Rear: 26-3/4"
    Rake: 3-5/8"

This weekend when I load my truck up to go camping I will remeasure to see how much rake I have. I will probably be getting the rear bumper powder coated tomorrow so hopefully by this weekend I will have everything reassembled

Yea dude that's fucking up there! Def needs bumper weight. And when at you mounting your roof rack to the shell!? Are you getting cross bars on the cap then putting the rack on or straight up rack/basket on the shell??

I ordered/received the tracks from front runner. I am still on the fence on whether I want to go ahead and order the front runner or get the prinsu. They both have their pros and cons. I will be mounting the tracks to the cap prob tomorrow.

    Front runner.......

Plus I am letting the bank account replenish

Just a waiting game at this point. It is prob highest on the priority list right now though.

Do you plan on putting the basket back on top?

If so the the front runner and PrinSu rack are expensive supporters for it and I would just think about Thule cross bars.
