Sorry, I forgot to cite my sources. Didn't think it would be needed. My bad. Hopefully he can get better. Because he seems to have quite the fan boy following. And yes, I have personal experience with them. A friend who is on here was looking for someone to do work to their Tacoma I told him give AVID a try because they are local to him. He tried to contact them and get a quote about sliders, skids, bumpers, and LT etc. He never got a response, so he is taking his money elsewhere.

Couple examples from a quick google.

My aunt has recurring cervical cancer that has gone to a spot behind her kidney/heart and lungs, and the chemo is kicking her ass, and when she calls her doctor, the triage nurse says to go to the ER every time. It's $100 every time, and they don't do anything. She needs to talk to a doctor and she keeps having to deal with the piss-ass residents in the ER who are fresh out of school and don't know a god damn thing about cancer.

Trashing a local vendor and a close friend of mine isnt cool. I can't speak for all of these but I know Dani for a fact has a truck decked out in Avid goodies. In fact there are a lot of us with his work. Like I said I cannot speak to all of these but maybe they didn't have the right email or contact info? Maybe responses or emails got filtered into spam folders? I know that's where all of my TW notifications go even though I've marked it as non spam. So can you say for a fact that these customers weren't contacted after the fact?

Regardless, errors happen in all business and no one is perfect. I'm sure we could scan Google for your shop and find errors as well. Or maybe some of us fanboys are bigger than that?

I've personally tried to contact Brandon through his site and never heard back. Considering what I do for a living, I think I know how to use email. Let's not pretend there aren't a bunch of posts on this forum about people having a hard time getting in touch with him. More than other popular vendors here. Obviously as his friend, you have a direct line and don't experience that.

He obviously puts out quality work, I don't think beeler ever put down his fab work. Posting actual customer experiences from these very forums isn't "trashing" anyone.

I think Dani makes his point even stronger - she's a big Avid fan and even she had trouble getting ahold of him...

I was a customer before we became friends but the point I'm making is that if you have a problem with a vendor, than take it up with the vendor. If Brandon says he responds to every email he gets, I believe him because no have no reason not to. Two people asked simple questions regarding local work and they were answered. Beeler took it upon himself to answer with an inappropriate response and then seek out responses from users that some of which I know for a fact did hear back from the vendor. I'm not saying that Avid is perfect, the shop is slammed busy and thats why I help field questions on here and give out contact information. Shit does slip through the cracks. If you have a bad experience I'm 100% positive that Brandon would be happy to discuss it.

I don't think it is very fair to quote conversation from last year. In case you'd like an update, I did receive a response from Brandon, he happened to be away from the shop for a bit of time. He apologized for the wait, gave me a hefty local/TW discount and expedited my sliders and armor. He's a great guy as are his fabricators. They do amazing work at an unbeatable price.

    Is this too fan boy-ish?
