Winter boredom at work again. I can't take credit for this one but it seems to work so so. For anyone with a 6 speed that changes out their shift knob with something aftermarket or DIY. You are left with that ugly chrome bezel at the top of the shift boot. I have used a rubber washer for years and has done the job. Decided to give this a go. $3 at Autozone. Had to order it but it fits like it was made for this spot. It is a little cheapy rubber looking but I may try to clean it up a bit.

Added some stainless steel bolts to the wind fairing.

Also made this quick release cup holder out of some spare crap.

Great looking truck man, love all the cheap mods. How much do you think that DIY roof rack would hold? Does it seem pretty sturdy with just L brackets on the bottom of the cross bars?

The roof rack is very sturdy. I actually used the L brackets on the inside angles. The mesh bolted to the top really added a lot of rigidity. I had it propped up off the floor when I was building it and was walking all over it with no issues.
