If you have a 2009 with a SAT button, the PXAMG is hands down the way to go.

The TEXT dispaly is Artist, and Song. The sound out put is as good, or a bit more than the Radio or CD's. As for the Playlists...You have to label them "TOYOTA1, TOYOTA2, TOYOTA3", etc, for the unit to identify them.

Janster, You have the same radio I have in my truck, so Im confident it would work the same. The nice thing, if you get the PA15-TOY, is they now come with 2 cables to connect to Ipods. I had to special order one for my 4th gen nano at a $60.00 cost :(

    Thanks Chris!

When you label the playlists (as mentioned above), are you essentially assigning a playlist in your ipod to match up with *Toyota1" (for instance)?

It has to be labled exactly as this
    TOYOTA1, TOYOTA2, etc.

It cant say anything else (from what I remember), but yes....You have to remember what you have in that playlist. You cant lable, for example, TOYOTA1 90's Music. You have to know what you have in it, and simply lable it TOYOTA1.

Just remember it won't work on the JBL model since it has built-in sat module and therefore will not work. They are great units and if I didn't like the MP3/WMA feature so much, I would trade my radio out for an ealier model.

OOoooooooo Ok...You have to create a playlist in your ipod that says Toyota1 exactly so the PA15 can pick it out. Gotcha! Simple enough....

    Thanks again!

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get one.
My husband was under the impression that nobody made ipod interfaces for his Acura MDX w/ Nav & Sat radio. I'm looking at the USA Spec site and they make one. I'll have to tell him about that and I'll probably be ordering two units. :D

Yeppo! But it has to be all Caps, and no spaces. Kinda strange, if you ask me, but I know whats what on my playlists, so it doesnt bother me. :)

If you use any of these modules for the IPOD/IPHONE integration, are you still able to use the satellite feature as well?

OH!! AND you get an extra RCA input, as well as a Sat input. SO...with the PA15, you can have your Ipod, Sat, and another source all at the same time. :)

    I can understand that... it's computer-esk.

Found out what my husband needs in his Acura (PA15-HON2). From what I see, his has tons more features than ours. Damn navigation & satellite fancy schmancy stuff... (laugh)

Now I'm trying to shop around for cheapest prices and if I can strike up a deal on buying two at the same time. But my gawd, the prices vary from like $110-$160+ on both units. Amazon is outragious. Ebay prices vary also and I'm always cautious about feedbacks.
Any suggestions on best place to buy? (yeah, I know...you knew I'd ask that - damn NEWB questions)

Is there a write-up on installing the USA-Spec in our tacomas?

I don't need it myself - since I've done it already with the ipod2car.

But since I'll be installing the USA Spec soon - I can take picts and do a writeup if there's a need for one. Otherwise, I don't want to repeat another writeup if one already exists.

Nevermind then...I won't do a writeup. Tons of them exist already. Although, probably end up doing a writeup on my husbands Acura install.
