Got an alignment today after antiseizing all the LCA cam bolts over the weekend.

I'm down to a little less than a degree of caster. I used to have a little better than a degree and I think it's because with the new leaf pack I went from a slight bro lean to an inch of rake.

Still doesn't seem to cause any problems though. Truck goes straight hands off even under hard braking.

Glad I got those cam bolts coated after working on Jeremy's!

Just wraps for now. That is one of the features I liked when I found it, after building it, not so sure. I might change that after this summer if it takes a hit and gets damaged. The sides are just bent plate. While I have them braced back to the frame, they look unfinished and likely weak. I could cut them at a body line angle, cut the bed to match and plate the top. I could point it out more the next time we meet up.

Finally got my highlift installed under my new cover! Picked this up last dec finally got around to mounting it thanks to the DYI posts here for mounting options.

    Next: lift, wheels and tires.

Was thinking about getting 5100 kit from toytec or the new 6112'shttp://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/355543-new-bilstein-6112-coilover-spy-shots-27.html could be a couple months on those. Looking to gain a 2.5 inches in front and 2 inches in back with aal. So many choices and directions.

I'm not to thrilled with my 5100s. The valving is too soft for spirted off road driving. In washboard the vehicle steps out very easy. On road it feels very squishy and easily over powered by the weight of the vehicle. keep in mind this is on a 1st gen Tacoma, not second. I will be upgrading this summer to a Toytec Ultimate or somthing like it.

My 4runner runs OME. The valving is better then the Tacoma off road. The guy I purchased it from said it was too stiff for his Tacoma.

If you don't plan on bumpers or sliders the 5100 would be a good option. Close to a OEM ride.

I think 5100s are the most over-recommended, over-rated TW product out there. Can't wait to be rid of mine. I can't speak to the 6112s as no one has seem them yet, but really don't understand spending that amount of money to still preload springs.

I think OME is the best option without going to the higher-end choices.

I have relized this. It seems there is a saturation of 5100 out there. I cant justify going icon or fox yet, but i might just have to save up. cause this is my daily driver i am lucky if go up in the mountains once a month. Im looking for a little more hight and just improving the truck to handle a little more with maybe a little bigger tire but i plan to stay with 265x75x16 or magbe 17" rims. i plan to add a bumper and skids later on. Thought i see every ones input here in colorado vs elsewhere.

Maybe I'll have to drive a similar truck with them to see what all the fuss is about.

I had no issues with my 5100s and I wheeled them kind of hard too. They were soft and obviously not a long term solution, but I think they are pretty decent for a simple lift setup.

I can't justify the Toytec kits myself. Eibach will sell springs with your specifics ( spring rate, length, diameter, etc). Koni or bilstein will sell shocks valved specifically to your wishes. And the boss leaf kit is not impressing me at all with a little extra weight

If you're not having problems, may as well leave them. I would suggest a drive up and down College Ave. in FoCo first though.
The trucker ruts, potholes, and puma filled asphalt crevasse's may make you change your mind...:D
