Help with 2015 trd offroad lift!

Needing some advise on a good 2" lift. I originally had planned on just getting some bilstein 5100's and setting them at 1.75 as a leveling kit for the front. BUT I've been searching around and I've read that the TRD OFFROAD package has progressive coils. And many have said preloading these with the 5100's makes it ride rough as hell. More so than the trd sport suspension with billies at 1.75 So it looks like I'll be getting some coils. What would you recommend or what are you running? It's a 2015 double cab short bed 4X4 I'd like to stay just under 2.5 (1.75-2.25?) because I can't afford UCA's and I want to keep a factory alignment or as close as possible while maintaining a smooth as possible ride. (I have a baby in the truck most of the time) ive looked at eibachs and ome 884's but some have said with a double cab 4x4 the eibachs and ome 884's usually just give about 1.5" lift? Pics of what your running if you have the trd offroad would be awesome

I'd just save for icon stage 1 with UCAS. That's what I did and I'm glad I did

 

Here's mine with Billies all around, 884x's, wheelers progressive AAL (left overload in to keep the rake), 1/4" driver side spacer, LT 265/75/16C toyo open country at2. I wound up with 2" all around. Rides wonderful. Alignment is good. No need for uca's.

 

That's a great looking truck man. I'm guessing you set the bullies at 0? I'm not a fan of rake personally. I'd like to stay 1/2 or less as far as that goes. So could I just remove the overload leaf when I install an AAL? By the way is yours 4x4?

2" all around, about $1000 if you factor in the alignment and having Wheeler's assemble the coils onto the front 5100s.

EDIT: Noticed you want to level it. That will not, especially with the short bed. Mine maintains the factory rake which I like so it sits level if I load it. I expect it would be perfectly level on a long bed with a cap.

5100s and OME 884s will get you exactly 2" in the front on a V6 4x4.

 

Ok guys one question, I've been on wheelers offroad.com and they have the ome 2884 coils. Is this the same Coil were talking about? Also a few people on the forum have mentioned an ome 884x? What is that?
Last question. Could I use the stock trd offroad shocks in the rear with a 1" block?

The ome884x is what we are referring to. That's what is listed by wheelers. All the new 884 coils are the x version. The old ones have been phased out due to a sagging problem. At least that's my understanding. You can get that setup within your budget. Member Anzy has the 884s cheaper than anywhere including wheelers. Using a block will make it ride like hell. Not sure if it would work with stock shocks or not.

 

Yup, mine from wheeler's had a label on them that said 884x if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't use a block either. I'm a fan of replacing the whole leaf pack but an AAL is fine too especially since your stock leafs are pretty new.

I believe the stock shocks are okay for up to 1.5" of lift (same as 5100 rears).

By the way, this is mine with the 884s in the front, 5100s all around, and the General HD leaf packs. Overall a similar setup to rngr, and we even both have pyrite mica trucks:

I've heard a lot of people getting the carrier bearing vibes after installing an AAL. I'm kinda paranoid about it. Did you get the vibes? Or did you have them before the lift? I also seen a carrier bearing drop bracket that has like a 95% success rate. Heard of it before?

That sounds odd from what I've heard about it. Was it the beefed taco cb drop bracket?

 

My cb drop kit made vibes worse for me also, but I just left the 3 degree Axel shims and the vibes are still there but only at take off and sometimes I don't notice vibration. without shims it would vibrate a lot more at take off.
