Have any of you guys figured out a way to stop water from pooling on the annex overhang?

The tent is pretty awesome, but when i went last fall all it did was rain and i'd have a ton of water on the overhang, woke up the first day with probably 8 gallons stuck up there. I tried using rocks and stakes to make sure it's held down tight on the ends to give it more of a slope, but it still pools.

that's my friend Johnny's trailer. Cool little unit, and simple. Not everyone needs an elaborate trailer with everything including the kitchen sink (literally). His trailer is a great example.

Some of those new CVT upgrades look familiar.

(It was way cold! i only had a 10* bag with a fleece liner and a little buddy heater...my friend with a -35* bag was warm though...)

 

Speaking of negative temperature camping....

I was dicking around in the garage with my dad and he showed me his fancy 12v handle grip heaters for his motorcycle. They were just a small stick on heating element almost paper thin. This got me thinking... Would it be possible to two giant ones to stick to both sides of the rtt floor to have a permanent heating pad? I can't find anything except industrial silicone ones that cost 2k for a 2 foot square... I know a heating blanket would work but I think itd be cool to have something more permanent and fool proof that won't get messed up with my extra foam mattresses I have stuffed into the tent... Thoughts?

I use a $45 electric blanket plugged into the truck to get everything toasty - works great!

 

Look at seat heater kits. Some of the larger ones might work for what you're talking about. I doubt it would be that functional though. Heated blanket seems much more reasonable.

 

I want a heated blanket! I want it just to pre-heat the mattress and sleeping bags.

Nice! I almost went out last weekend but didn't want to push my 10 degree bag past it's limit lol. I'm planning on going out on Friday night though. Should be a little warmer.

I used to love Mountain Hardware gear but the thought of me giving money to a group who uses their power to close the trails I like to explore? Not my idea of 'good investment'. My current sleeping bag? One or two Mexican wool blankets and two flat sheets. They can stay in my RTT year round.
