Same, Lost money when I sold my 2001 Sonoma Highider. Made good on my Tacoma that I had totaled ended up with more then expected from Insurance and you will never get that from any Chrysler product expect for PROBABLY the Jeep Wrangler but even then they have major reliablity issues. My dad loves Wranglers and had them as long as I can remember and he even says they are not reliable but Wranglers are one of a kind so he puts up with it.

I never understood why wranglers hold their value so well. (The older ones before the JKs.) But I think people just love working on them. Fine by me. Makes me money.:D

All the major banks in Canada have drive through ATM's, some have drive through tellers, and none of them had to ask for bail outs during the US caused Banking crash... When a few of those major wall street banks needed federal money just to get by.

Actually a few of the Canadian Banks own a lot of the banks in the Northern US. I hope they get out of the market before the next big US caused banking fiasco.

    Food for thought.

If any brand has loyalty, it's the Wrangler. I'm pretty sure I could make a Jeep Wrangler Unibody FWD only in Pink and Lavender and it would still sell to loyal jeep fans like crazy as long as it had solid axles, an open cab, and that distinctive grill/headlights.

A diesel that will get some MPG's, cost the same amount to run after the markup costs, and be less reliable? Like what happened to the Jeep GC?

Hey the oil changes on the new Rams with the 3.0 diesels are only like $150.00. The oil filter cost $60. Driving a diesel any more is just a status symbol. Half the guys around here don't need a diesel. I'm mean what are you going to tow when you truck looks like a roller skate.

So you are saying you don't understand our desire to get the most out of a vehicle purchase which are almost always a bad investment? If you are not concerned about keeping your money I'll PM you my address and you can send it to me. :)

My friends wife has a diesel GC with about 20k miles on it now. Not sure I'd buy one personally but it's a nice vehicle. I don't think she has had any problems with it, but it's only like a year old so that's not saying much.

    Hope you enjoy it.

We use to have a customer that would buy a new car at least every 4 months. He owned every vehicle we've ever made. I wonder how much money he lost?

    I wonder if OP cares.

    :threadjacked:

I think this thread is far enough off the rails for my taste.

That's a deep-woods, redneck way of thinking you've "made money". You really didn't BTW, you think you did, but you actually didn't.
