    guys i need you help and clarfication,

    I am getting ready install my OME lift real soon. I was double checking to see if everything came in and was not missing. this came in my rear strut box 60091, i just wanted to know how to properly set this up the instructions were not that clear to me. This is my first time so this is why i dont know the obvious.

    I'm sure this has been answered (but theres 315 pages currently...), I'm wondering about the UCA's after 3 inches of lift and whether I'll be aligned properly or if I'm going to have to replace them or if it's just different for everyone, also about the top plate spacer to get to full 3 inches, is the top plate spacer bad if I want to go off roading cause I know that spacer lifts are not good for off roading but I am getting coils and all new shocks

    if you put on a little top plate spacer (1/2" or less) just space out your bumpstops a bit - say 3/8"

    The nice thing about a small top plate is it gives you just a little more downtravel, which is nice when going over speedbumps and freeway expansion joints.

    You may have to tweak the upper control arm/ spring interference though. I'm having to do that.

    Or just go with 885s without a top plate. 2.5" lift, stock UCA, more downtravel, no top plate, no worries. ;-)

    (Says the guy who got "lift height fever" and put 885s on a regular cab at the last minute ;-) )

    Guess I should have looked for directions on that bag instead of ripping it open and guessing at how it was to be installed. For my 2013 it should have been done as shown on the left. I put my locator (part to the left in your picture) under the mount instead of above it, doubt it really matters though.

    My OME kit arrived and I am getting ready to install the 886 (heavy) kit with new leaf springs, etc. but after reading a few threads it seems like I may need UCAs.

    Extra Weight: ARB bumper and a winch, Pelfrybilt IFS/MID skids, RCI rock sliders, Rear bumper is line-x'd and I frequently haul dirt bikes in the bed, plus related gear.

    Do I need longer brake lines or UCAs?
    Also is this spacer for the "taco lean" included and if not should I get this before have the front installed?

    Finally got it done.

    885's with sport shocks all around, and dakars in the rear. Very happy with it so far. Have the slightest of vibes at about 10 to 15 km but nothing too bad. Will probably try the axle shims in the future to see if it helps. Thanks everyone for the info. :cheers:

    The only problem is they would be way to short to use now that the truck is lifted. Good thinking though, thanks.
    Would you recommend a sale price? Front coilovers assembled and rear shocks with 15000 miles.

    Also, I got the truck aligned after installing the OME lift with top plate spacers, (no UCAs). Are my tires going to wear correctly or will I still need to eventually install UCAs? All of these values are in the green on the print out.

    I extended my brake lines all the way around prior to lifting but I'm pretty sure you can droop the rear suspension all the way and the stock brake lines will suffice.

    Some people get away with running stock UCAs but the general consensus is to get aftermarket UCAs to ensure proper alignment specs.

    The taco lean fix piece is called a trim packer and yes you want it as part of the assembly prior to installing.

    Alignment time! Light racing uca's, ome 3" w/ top plate spacers, dakars, 285s. Planning on telling the tech I want 0 toe, 0 camber, 2.4 caster. No cab mount chop and I currently don't rub with daily driving. I'd like to keep it that way. Anyone with this setup have better luck with different numbers?
