    This meet is to formalize the trail cleanup plans for Citrus. The hope is if caught out of bounds it earns us brownie points with the man and maybe gets us out of a ticket.

    That's because there are two meets involved in the trail clean up. The Tamlando meet is basically a planning session for the clean up where we'll be assigning sectors or trails to small groups so we can cover the whole area in a day. :cool:

    Right now the poll is for the initial planning meet (Tamlando). Presumably, the date for the actual Trail Clean Up will be determined at the Tamlando planning meet.

    Seems to me the Tamlando meet is a meet about a meet. It's kinda like being at work and having a meeting about another meeting and then having a meeting. Rather confusing if you ask me. I thought the Tamlando meet would be like the last one and just be a meet. Not sure I'll make it now.

    It's more like the Citrus Trail Clean Up is a mission and the Tamlando meet is the mission planning session/briefing. Granted, we could do a lot of that right here in the forum, but with the meet we can have everyone committed on hand to make sure everyone fills out the correct paperwork--if any--to make it an official event in the eyes of the FWC.

    I'm not so sure about the brownie points aspect getting us a pass if we get caught in naughty areas in the future, but I'm interested because it's a good and responsible thing to do. Even if we had to do it without official sanction from the state, I'd still be onboard.
