Dont you have to push in some of the plastic behind in with a heat gun to get it nice and flush?

I cut the entire back part of the plastic so it would just slide back there, I haven't attached the coax cable yet though which may be why it's so far in haha..

Hmm iono mine is kinda in there but it feels like if I went over a big bump it would possibly slide a little. I'm gunna think of something.

Thanks man. So when you say there is a gab between the bumper and your grill what do you mean? Since mine will be the opposite with the 01 on top and 00 on the bottom, will it be able to fit?

Yep wait til you get the coax in :) mine sticks out hella far but I really don't care. It does its job, not in the way, and I didn't bother with Velcro or anything, just tossed it in there.

You must have trimmed more than I did. My radio fits in really tight. And if I have my coax unplugged, the radio can be completely flush with the trim. When I plug in the coax, it pushes it out .5-1" I have a 90° elbow also

Having purchased a beautiful Taco recently I have 47 trillion things planned for her, but today was dedicated to some of the more simple things in Tacoma parenthood. I spent an enjoyable sunny afternoon cleaning every carpeted and fabric surface inside of the cab.

After unbolting the seats, mid-bench seatbelt, and backrow cup holder stand, there was a thorough session with the vacuum, followed by another with a lint roller. All the loose stuff was easy, it was the dreaded dog hair that refused to untangle itself from the carpet!

After that there was a heavy dose of foam applied to the carpet as well as the back row of seats/back cushion and the door panel's fuzzy detailing.

Finally I got to the front seats and gave them a solid sudzing/sexy spongebath:headbang:

Although a few of the bolts that held the seats in place came out good as new, a lot of them were quite well rusted. I'll be headed to the store tomorrow in order to pick up some new ones. Tried going to Autozone today but they only had basic cheapo bolts and this is no Ford Ranger! Soooo I passed on that. I've treated the holes with Naval Jelly's rust remover and rust prevention spray just to be on the safe side. After all, anal never hurts;)
Next step is going to be tackling a couple of rust areas with a steel handbrush and a 3/4in chuck-mounted bronze bristle brush! That's going to be one hell of a fun day. Not looking forward to the fiber glass and bondo work however...

My issue was the 01-04 bumper stuck 3" off the front of my truck. And it didn't have anything to do with the 98-00 bump stops on the end of the frame... the bumper wasn't even touching those.

Just pumped grease into 9 zerks. I did some research and got a Lincoln 1134 grease gun along with the red and tacky you guys recommended a few days ago :)

One question tho: the zerks located directly on the front and rear shafts seemed to take a lot of grease but I didn't see it come out of the sleeved axle fitting or anywhere else for that matter. How do you know how much grease these two should take? I attached a video but please disregard the "extra" grease all over the U joint :\ The grease wants to bypass the fitting sometimes if you don't hold the gun just right.

Also installed the Anti-Dark kit and Redline hood struts.

Why is there a funnel stuck to the bottom side of your hood?

    I love you.

Reading your post you sound exactly like me  I did the same exact thing when I first got my Tacoma. Ripped out the entire interior and went over everything including each plastic peice with a toothbrush. After that was done I pulled the entire rear axle out, used a metal brush on it, Naval Jellied it, and painted it. Almost creepy how alike your post is.

It seems to stay put so I let it live there.
