I've had this truck for just over a month now and figured it was time to start a build on it. Its a 2013 DCSB SR5 4x4 that I picked up as a used lease return, I got rid of my 2012 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited that I had built up into a crawler for this. I found myself needing more of an expedition type rig than a crawler and so far Im loving the Tacoma. I want to thank all the great builds on this forum for the inspiration to get this one going.

    Pic of the day...

Had a productive night last night and got the cab mount chop done. Still need to hammer down the pinch seam. I love plasma cutters!

Nice work on the CMC chop. If/when you do flatten down the pinch welds, inspect very closely for any cracks along the seam.

The tiniest crack can have water seep in and run under the floor mat area when it rains. Don't ask me how I know :D.

I just ordered the same lift for my 2013. Did you install the full Dakar leaf pack, or did you remove a spring? What was your final lift height? To level it out, did you adjust the front coils? Any vibrations? Did you install the shims and the dif drop? Sorry for all of the questions, but I would appreciate your feedback. I will be installing mine in the next couple of weeks...

I installed the full leaf pack and left the coilovers as they came, no adjusting. As for lift height I never measured to see exactly what it is, my guess is around 2 3/4" front and probably 3 1/2" out back. I have no vibrations with the shims installed at the leafs and I did NOT do the diff drop. So far I love the ride, a little firmer than stock and more controlled. At 34 psi in my tires it is very smooth riding.

Yeah, since I set the caster at 3.7* when I had it aligned it started to hit the cab mount when fully turned. No issues now though, with less caster I don't think it would've been needed. The plus side is I have clearance for 35's if I ever decide I want to go bigger.

Great, thanks. Have you had the VSC issues that others have reported? If so, did you do the reset or have the dealer do it?

Did a little work today, I installed the Redline Tuning hood struts and got the Anti-Dark under hood lights done. What a difference in how easy the hood lifts now plus I can see everything under there!

Done the diff breather mod today in about 15 minutes (used 5/16" fuel hose) and through the spare in the back.
