Ridgelines... eeehhh. The trunk under the bed and swing-out tailgate is probably useful for the grocery hauling that most people seem to use their truck for, but bleh. It looks like a turd. :)

Not to mention, it doesn't have real 4wd. It's VTM-4 system is a joke (for a "truck", it sounds fine for a sedan), here's how it goes:
It's a sort of AWD system, and it defaults to... wait for it... FWD. So by default the system will run mostly in front wheel drive mode, where it can then distribute up to 70% of power, I believe, to the rear - This is supposed to be a truck, mind you! I guess they don't intend for real loads to ever touch the bed...
The best part, imo, is it's "lock" mode that you can engage if you want to, *cough*, try to offroad or something. Lock gets you 70% of power to the rear... until you hit 6mph?!, so it isn't really locking, it's just sort of telling this turd that you kind of need to get moving for real. By 18mph, it's back to awd mode.
    Best part: No low range.

Granted, Honda marketed this at people whose trucks stay on pavement, but I can't imagine buying this thing; it's ugly, hauling and towing capacities are mediocre, and it doesn't have a real part-time 4wd and 4-lo system, and gas mileage isn't even that great. Yikes.

Be glad you bought a taco ;)

A while back, Popular Mechanics did a test of 5 Trucks. Nissan Fronty, Toyota Tacoma, Ferd F-150, Chevy Colorado, and the Hinda Ridgeline. The Ridgeline was the first tuck in their history of testing trucks, that couldnt make it down the dirt road to their test area. AND.....By the time they DID finally get it there, the Hondas struts were ALL BLOWN. AND....Honda wouldnt change them out under warranty! Honda said they "Abused" the Ridgeline. PM told Honda that they advertise the Ridgeline as a "Truck", and they simply were treating it like one.....

I've owned some nice Honda cars over the years including a 2007 Civic coupe that I have now. Having said that, there is no freaking way in Hell I would buy a Ridgeline. The only thing uglier than the outside, is the inside. I do like the in bed trunk, but not at the expense of a real truck. JMO.

Actually, It has a Frame ans a unibody. Its an interesting design. IF given a real suspension, and transfer case, I could see it being a decent vehicle.
