I hear that quite a bit from people, but they usually don't have a problem buying subsidized fuel to power their vehicles.

If I were getting a high speed off road truck, I would rather it be based off a midsized truck than a full sized truck.

Most trails aren't wide enough to have fun with the Raptor. It looks cool, but it really isn't that useful in most locations.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    :puke:
Good lord in heaven that thing is ugly! I can see why it wasn't popular. At least the Raptor is a sweet looking truck bumper to bumper. I'd like one, but refuse to pay that much $$ for one, new or used.

I have been wishing they bring back the Ranger to America for a while now, as a midsized platform, but I didn't even consider them making a Raptor version of the Ranger. That thing would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!:D

You do realize that the Japanese government subsidized both Toyota and Honda? So you may want to not give two shits about your beloved Tacoma. Oh wait, since it wasn't your tax dollars it's okay.

How do state and federal governments go broke? Irresponsible spending? In some cases. A total Economic crash where many Americans lost jobs, homes, etc. and many more would if the governments around the world did not provide some financial subsidy.

Are you talking about the Japanese hybrid studies? Subsequent years after WWII after the Country was ravaged after years and losing the war? Or the idiot remarks of the NA CEO on the Prius after he left Toyota?
The studies were not Toyota specific and Japan is a big supporter of green studies and new fueling ideas that promote a healthy environment.
Tough to compare Toyota's financial history with GM and theirs who can piss away 100 billion dollars with much of it being payroll.
    Mr Toyoda denies any subsidies.
I'm a GM fan, optimistic and hope for the best but, how the fuck can you even compare the two's financial history? Much like comparing a perfectly cooked steak to a wet fart.

Imagine had the Gub'ment let them fail. Then the hillbillies would be coming out with their pitchforks and wagons while the rest would of been complaining how the Government doesn't care about our own .
It was a bad situation and the asterisk next to that note in history will hopefully be reread by many.

Pretty much everything in our lives here in 'Murica is subsidized one way or another.

So where are these $30K Tacoma Pros? :p

Little closer to $40K...seems like a lot for lowgrade coil-overs and some stickers.

I've never understood the stickers/decals thing. Just because somebody wants to buy a performance vehicle doesn't mean they want to look "XTREME." Let people do their own decals if they must. It looks pretentious to me, especially if their vehicle isn't built to match the look.

Indeed that is a different breed of truck. Sponsored vehicles absolutely don't count in the decal douchiness :)
