The whole cab is a unibody, with a small fully boxed frame under it. The frame is about 2/3 size of a first gen Tacoma frame.

If your using it just for on road driving and no hauling I see nothing really wrong with it my GF's parents have one and it has a ton of options interior wise, and Compartments everywhere.

I know...But I thought the in bed "trunk" thing would have been kick ass for houling the cooler, or useing for drinks when going to the lake. :(

I hear they are very reliable too, but I can't see myself driving one. I did not like the seating position or the style of the interior. Maybe Honda will improve the looks in the second gen Ridgeline, but I doubt it will be a real truck. For some people it might be the perfect vehicle for them, just not me.

Er... but what are you getting it for then? Just get an SUV...

More stylish, just as reliable, more seats (typically 7, back 5 fold down), can tow just as much...

Yea, I'd rather have a Pilot than a Ridgeline, but not over a 4-Runner.

It's good for what it's for. Funny enough when I was working at the restaurant guess who drove the only Ridgeline.

A gay guy. :p All the rest of us had Tacoma's and full sized.

I guess I don't get what's _for_... I mean, the way I see it, there are 3 main things people do with trucks: haul, go offroad, and tow.

The ridgeline can't haul particularly well - its hauling capacity is a couple of hundred pounds lower than a taco (1100lbs). It is garbage for offroad, clearly. And its towing capacity is poor for a largish v6 - 5000lbs.

I suppose I don't see its purpose, except maybe hauling groceries in the bed?
