Was having a conversation last night with Slimwood and ScaldedDawg about camping at BFE. How secure is BFE? Meaning is it safe to leave my 10x10 and a couple of pelican cases with cooking stuff laying out or should I plan to load that stuff up each day.

There is always a chance that some Ahole could steal your stuff but at the same time they could lift a case out of your truck while youre at the gas station. None of my or my friends stuff has been stolen in all the years Ive been going to moab, and the only thing I locked up last year was my tools cuz I had like 30K in tools that stayed at camp.

What Husky Driver did here is use the city listed in your profile as the starting point, whatever place, if any, you're going to first as the midpoint & Moab, UT as the end point. Then copied the web address & hyperlinked the mileage following your T/W handle to that web address so you can see the route(s). There are 56 attendees so far according to the attendance poll page.

Running total = 16,515 miles to Rock Therapy

Probably no different than the risk when we leave shit set-up down in URE.

It is a risk...but your right anywhere we go is.

Hell with the amount of people going we could all chip in a few bucks and pay someone to stand camp watch. I don't think there will be much time with all of us gone though.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Not a bad idea. Put a feeler out on the BST section? Or a local Moab CL ad???

That would get expensive. Friend of a friend thing would probably be best if the Moab veterans even think it's necessary

yea lets not do that

no issues in the past and i don't foresee any issues again...

it's not like BFE is easily accessible...it's a handful of miles off the main road down a washboard road and the lower lot is tucked away even from there...

if people go there, they're there to wheel...

it does get windy there often, so it's wise to put things away before you leave...this also keeps things out of sight which will keep the temptation away from people...

but i know wed and saturday, the organizers will be there most of the day...i'm sure throughout the day, people from our group will be coming and going as well...if you need more space, stop by walmart and pick up a cheap tent to keep gear in..
