I finally found a used topper for my truck for a decent price and picked it up today. The topper is an ARE CX. The rear door on the topper has a plastic trim piece that is riveted to the bottom of the door. That piece is broken and I can't find it anywhere online. I will call the local ARE dealership tomorrow but I am afraid they will want to sell me the entire rear door assembly for an outrageous amount. I am supposed to drop the top off at the body shop at 8 Saturday morning to be painted. Before I spend $500 to have it painted I want to make sure I can get this piece. I have had a Z-series and a CX previously and had to install a new rivet on the corner of both tops during ownership. Evidently the original owner didn't care and the piece eventually got damaged beyond repair. Just curious if anyone has dealt with this before also and where did you find the replacement part.

    Thanks

Will do. I am sure the dealership will give me the runaround after not spending $1800 for a new one even though I have purchased 3 toppers in the past from them. All the replacement doors I have found online are over $400.

Click on the picture icon (yellow square with the mountain in it) and a box will pop up. On Photobucket, click on the Shared links-> Direct box and "copied" will appear. Insert that into the popup box that asked for the url. Very nice boat; you can make your account private in the settings.

Mine is starting to crack too after being on the truck for almost nine years but I haven't gotten around to dealing with it yet since it's not bad.

I went by the ARE dealer to order one today. They have to call ARE Monday to figure out exactly what it is called. Hopefully it won't be too expensive since it is a piece of thin plastic.

Just got a call from the ARE dealer. The piece is just under $70 with tax. They are proud of that piece but it is a necessity so I had him order it. After paint and all the small items I have bought for the topper I will have just over $800 in it. Much cheaper than the $1800 I was quoted for a new one.
