What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Went to the tire shop today to look at the ko2's I definantly like them but they said the only size they make right now is the 275,s for a 16 and 17 inch wheel

Cleaned front bucket seats and installed rear sliding window latch. (yesterday)

 

If you're interested in the KO2s check out Goodyear Adventure ATs.

It's essentially the tread design that preceded the KO2s. I only ran BGF ATs for 20 years prior to getting the Goodyears (which are now my current tires) and I I love the Adventure ATs

 

Aren't the ko2's only available in load range e right now too? (I see like 3 sizes in d and one c on their website, but they don't seem to be available). A load E tire is a little much for a 1st gen unless maybe it's heavily loaded all the time or a dedicated wheeling rig.

Yes the guy said they only have a couple out to see how they do before they release everything but they should be releasing soon. I'm considering the kuhmo road venture m/t's though

 

I had the Kuhmos and was very happy with them. /\

 

Or you could pick up a cheap set from rockauto.com Thays what I did. I would clean mine up but it would just keep coming back.

 

All of the reviews say that the next set would be more kuhmos that they were awesome. Do they wear decent? I seen where a guy said he had them on his cummins and was at 38k on them

 

When I hear kumho tires I picture a mid range priced mid range quality car tire.

thjey look nice but how do they really compare to the more known brands?

I had mine on for about 50K - changed them out before I went down to the 'wear strips'.
They rode smoothly. I drive on gravel roads daily and never had a flat and weeled with them a few times, worked fine in some slippery mud, also performed fine in 6-10" of snow/ice here in Missouri

This. I cleaned mine up really nice and though the fog isn't back it's permanently a yellowed color.

 

I'm wanting the m/t everything I've read about them sounds good

 

They seem to have sub par daily driver dry and wet performance and are more suited as an offroad tire.

 

They have a 4 for dry performance?

 

Most MT tires aren't good ice/wet tires since they lack siping (small narrow grooves in the tread)

 

I guess we will see

 

They look goofy as hell too, like a tire you would see on a quad or 4 seater buggy.
