I'd like to run Bilstein 5160s in the rear. However, Bilstein only offers a 0 - 1" lift shock.

Looking at the 5165s, I can find a shock with a length I can use. However, the top mount is an EB1, not a stem.

My question is, has anyone every modified the upper shock stem mount to accept an EB1 shock mount?

It looks like it would not be too difficult - drill out the top section and weld on some tabs.

    Thoughts?

You could also buy a conversion piece to go from the stem to the EB1.

Though if I was going to change shocks to not use the default mounting I would look into the BAMF shock relocation bracket and get 12" shocks :)

Yeah this seems like a really nice kit. As long as you have a welder available to you.
