Sliding Cargo Divider

I just installed the Toyota Cargo Divider. It's a big PITA to slide along the rails because the bolts that attach the divider to the rail keep getting caught in the slots along the bottom of the rail. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how can it be solved?

 

Yeah, it is a pain. I loosen all 4 of the knobs before moving it. That helps. I recently saw that someone on here installed the brackets upside down, so that the divider goes in from the top. I think that might help. I'm going to do that this weekend and see if it helps.

My solution:

Actually I thought the slots along the bottom were designed for fixed position indents (more secure position?). Or drain holes? The real solution would be a solid bottom channel, if you can find one.

I flipped my brackets upside as well, makes it alot easier to remove. But yea as far as sliding it back and forth, is a little tough but I don't mine too much so it doesn't bother me. And with having the brackets upside down it's almost easier just to pull the divider out and move the brackets separately.

 

Same problem here. I have been making sure I have my finger covering those drain slots when I slide it. I do one side then the other to inch past the hole.

I like the flip it over idea and I may try that.

 

Is it possible to flip the track over so the holes are on the top?

 

Just looked at the track, the top is the same as the bottom.

 

I stuck a dab of paraffin wax to the bolt heads and slid them up and down the track a few times by hand. Now the gate moves smooth as silk and if the bolt head ever does rotate around (pretty rare) it never gets stuck, just slips out of the hole in the rail.

 

How much did that run you in price?

I was looking at the roll n lock cargo system...any thoughts?
