Mine are 2" x .250 wall, center 18" of tube was sleeved with 1.5" x .250 wall. So essentially the most important part is .5" wall. Basically what Mark (NwiTACO) did to his links. I actually used the same tube he had left over from his links haha. :D

I thought about the 2.25... that shit is BEEF!!! But I think this'll work, and it's what I had. 2.25" was double the cost of the 2" tube

Ben said 150/200 to try... Still curious about it. I asked a few people about it.

Please tell me the t-case mount is temporary LOL Whats up with the flex? Looks like the shock bottoms out way before the tire gets anywhere near the fender.

    Thanks!

    It's not temporary.

I was very skeptical myself when Jon was talking us through what he wanted. But it actually works well.

And yes. Tire does stuff up in the fenders due to the shock length but also the axle itself. The hydro steering is huge man. Any higher and Eric won't have an oil pan.

Just means when he gets 40s he won't have to trim anything.

I don't like the hacked up looking OEM mount supporting the tcase, but it should hold up and I honestly think the rest of the design is sound. If anything, I might try to bend up a new, clean looking strap when Eric comes back and we finish the bumper.

We don't call it the Shit-box for nothing! :luvya:

What. The. Fuck. I'm not one to call out others fab work because I've done some hack shit myself but holy shit man! There aren't even any bushings for shock absorption. Hacked up OEM mount sounds right. With bushings at the motor and solid mounted rear, torque WILL break something. Its not a question of IF it will, its a question of when. Heres my hacked up OEM mount just to give you some idea of whats worked for me the past year and probably long into the future. My transmission skid extends off the front of the t-case mount now.

    His motor is solid mounted.

    Doesn't need bushings.

He also has no torque so shouldn't be an issue.

Dude. Solid mounting is nothing new. You need to calm down haha

He has the trail gear bomb proof mounts so not 100% solid. But pretty damn solid.

Making the tranny totally solid is better then having it on the stock mount with bushings and the solid mount motor mounts.

I have the same motor mounts as well. A couple round bushings welded to the stock mount like I did would have been 100x better than some hacked together solid mount setup welded to dirty painted steel but if you choose to support it

Most of the dirty, painted steel was flap-wheeled/wire brushed as best as I could considering the work conditions. Welding on dirty/painted steel isn't welding at all, IMO. But by all means, any constructive criticism is welcome. I'll read more into this topic and make modifications where applicable. Thanks man
