Ideas for hotel cooking? Dont really have the option to freeze food beforehand.

I did buy a microwaveable rice/pasta/vegetable cooker. Microwave is the only thing i have access too, and a fridge. So right now i have rice, sandwich, yogurt, salad.

    Thanks in advance

Mmm hell yeah. I'm going to make those tomorrow. I would make them more often if they lasted more than an hour in my house.

    Thanks guys.

I needed to cook that ribeye. Been on a bell pepper, onion and mushroom kick. I was planning on adding sliced potato to this meal as well but didn't end up doing it. Have a bit of steak left over for breakfast tomorrow, garlic bagel with steak, egg, and cheddar cheese.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I've scrambled eggs in a bowl in the microwave. Need to go slow. Stop it, stir, go a few more seconds and keep repeating til done. Not as good as in a pan but it works.

I'm all about the pasty, my grandfather who was from the UP always had them growing up, he always told us me it was miner food and that they would reheat them on shovels (his dad was a miner), my grandmother who is Irish had them also (she was not from the UP in MI but lived in lower MI). So over the years I started making a variation of what they both grew up with. Mine have 2 types of meat ground and cubed beef, potatoes, onions, carrots and rutabaga then some salt and pepper all wrapped in a crust. Depending on how I'm feeling I either make the crust my grandmother taught me or I will get the pre-made pie crusts they sell in the store. They are ALWAYS done individual (had a cousin who would make them into an actual pie NO-NO-NO). Bake a whole bunch of them and then freeze some and have family and friends over to share in the huge amount of work. I think the worst part is dicing everything up takes FOREVER. As for what we put on them well I go 3 ways here sometimes I just want some ketchup on them, sometimes I will do the gravy and sometimes just the pasty itself. Any way you go that's one tasty basic meal right there. Now I'm feeling the need to go and make some.

 glad to know there's other pasty makers out there!

the chopping does take forever - that's why it makes more sense to make them in bulk. as long as you're going through the trouble, make lots! and if your dough just won't roll out right....:annoyed:
have you ever made mini pasties? use extra lean ground sirloin, hashbrown/shredded potatoes and roll the dough out in 4" to 5" circles. awesome little snacks hot or cold

I cooked up some venison with shallots and garlic last night. Served with some cream cheese/sour cream/ham/cheddar cheese scalloped potatoes and sauteed asparagus. Also made a red wine kind of gravy sauce. Even have some leftovers for lunch today.

Bagel sandwich was a bust. Bagel was really good, but it didnt seem like it would do the job I needed it to do. I got flustered because I was running behind, so I ended up butchering the whole breakfast experience and put the bagel on a plate, steak on top, microwaved both together and just dumped 2 scrambled eggs on top.

    Major fail. Forgive me.
