The ubolt flip itself isn't that pricey but the new bump stops add to it over $100

Haha. Ya I kinda was in the same boat. I was never against a Ubolt flip per sè, just didn't really see the huge improvement for the price, I mean the diff pumpkin sits lower than the bolts anyways. BUT if you plan to off-road a lot, you'll be better off in the long run. Having those bolt heads and nuts exposed to rocks and bad shit down there is not a great idea.

I am going to use wheelers superbumps. I have em up front and they are great, more durable than the daystars (Ask nick :) ) and will easily install into the former bumpstop strike plate.

Other than All Pro, Ruff Stuff makes flip kits, as do a handful of other custom fab guys. The plates are usually pretty affordable, it's the Ubolts themselves that drive the price up.

And again, you don't NEED to flip it, you'll just push the lower shock mount further out towards the wheel, and decrease clearance from tire to shock body. Depending on your backspacing, tire size and whether or not you run wheel spacers that might not be an issue for you.

Oh okay I figured superbumps were the best, I am planning on hanging them where you did Nick in the old upper shock mount.

I haven't looked at mine to make sure, but what is the reason I can't use my current u bolts? I feel like it would be really easy just to flip them and use that plate but then why they sell new u bolts, i dont know may be a dumb question haha

I have stock wheels with spidertrax spacers but thinking about new wheels in the future so I should probably just do the u bolt flip.

for a flip kit you need round bolts not square....

Nick you most rock crawler like a dessert racer. I don't even have bump stops and have only bottomed my rear shocks once. I'm also not running high end shocks you you guys. I'm running bilsteins for a ford f150 they are 11" travel with out the relocation bracket I'm curious how close the drop is compared to your set up.

My limiting factor now is my leaf pack. It would be cool to compair. Maybe jerry will let us use his forklift at the next mod meet to compair to some stock or extended travel shocks. I had icon extended travel rears which I believe are 11 inches. Now I need to decide if I want to run a shackle flip....

I thought about a shackle FIP kit as well but with my leaf pack it will put me to high in the rear. Some day my truck will just be an off road project and SAS the front and change up the rear but until then it dose pretty well the way it is now, I do need to get some bump stops, someday.

I have the all pro flip kit but if I did it over I would go with ruff stuff or trail gear, both have a better design.

The all pro kit is flat so when the spring compresses it is forced against a hard corner and creates a shear effect, tg and rs have ends that are bent up so you don't encounter this problem.

Postman came through today :woot::woot:. I will not ship usps again, they were clueless. Tracking said out for delivery all day yesterday. No show. I was home all day (hoping). Then says available for pickup. Counter says that means they're making another attempt today. She had no explanation for the logic involved... Saw my postman there and he pulled it out for me :D

    I'm just stoked it came!!
