    Now to consolidate a little... And I will be switching to the MTR's hopefully next Saturday! :woot: :woot:
    Have some major updates!

    New exhaust installed, new exhaust manifold (wanted the tubular, but unfortunately I had to go with another cast one...) and new everything after the cat, 2.25" pipe and a Magnaflow 18" muffler.

    Also, I installed my lift over spring break, took my 4 pretty laid back days of working in my in-laws (As of June '15) garage. Went pretty well except for the front bushing sleeves of my leaf spring bolts were seized so I had to cut the bolts out. By some odd miracle Kendall actually had the bolts and hardware when GTF hadn't received their shipment, so that saved the day. Then put it all together. This was by far the biggest vehicle job I have ever done. And to think a few years ago I was learning how to change the oil on a Jetta. :rolleyes:

    Anyways, I just have some lame iPhone pics for now.

    I took off the bottom overload type leaf of the OME leaf pack. These are meant for the 89-94 Toyota Pickups which have a lot more arc to the leaves, providing close to 5" lift rather than my goaled 3", so I just took this bottom leaf out. There is still plenty of lift and I doubt any adverse effects will come of it.

    Installed here. My ARB shocks are a full 2" short on the fully extended droop, so I will have to be in touch with Tom at GTF about that.

    And here it is on her fist maiden voyage post lift.
    I had a ton of vibrations from 5-25 mph right after the lift, after the alignment I dropped the CB (Carrier Bearing) with a few large washers. I still have a few vibes from 12-17 mph and my rear u-joint is out of line, so I am looking for a 3 degree axle shim.

    And I need recommendations for a CB radio. Entire set-up actually as I have no experience with CB. I want it to fit in the ash-tray location, so a smaller one.

    Just the muffler and turn down were 99 bucks. It might melt the ABS line on the newer trucks, but I love it. Totally out of the way of the suspension and :eek: rocks.

    That looks good for the CB, what else will I need?

    I would get a spring, you will also need the coupling to attach the antenna to the coax cable, and a mount for the antenna.You will also need a switch for the radio itself, I got a cb radio switch from OTRAWTT just now actually. I also got a quick disconnect for my antenna do no punk kids can steal it haha but that's optional.

    Ps I read somewhere that mounting by the tailgate = not as good of reception, also bad grounding = bad reception.
    I got the cbi hood mount and really like it, if I didn't want the hood mount Id probably go directly behind the cab. Although it might be hard to mount it nice and sturdy in that spot.

    Yep that's the coupling I got, and yea you have to directly wire it to the battery (comes with an inline fuse already installed) because I guess you get a bunch of interference of you wire it to a fuse block or something..
    I got a 10' coax, I heard most common sizes are 9 and 18' but I think on Amazon you can really get any size..

    Hmm, I just tried finding the shims that I got from Wheeler's and it looks like they no longer have them. Unfortunately, it looks like the only easily available non-dangerous ones come from Low Range Off Road. Normally that would be fine but they only carry them in 2, 4, and 6 degrees.

    Don't buy any of the sketchy ones from Pro Comp or Rubicon Express, they have non counter sunk holes and some don't even capture the center pin which can allow them to literally fall out of the pack.

    One of my local offroad shops (Alaska Spring and Performance) had some 3 degree axle shims, so I just with those as they were recommended by the Toyota Fab Shop (Green Tree Fabrication). They do capture the center pin, but aren't quite as nice as those... Damn lol.

    I need to put them on Saturday morning as I'll be driving a few hours to pick up my boat and tow it back the same route... So it'd be nice to have the vibes and driveline working 100% first.

    I'm also anxious to get done with school so I have at least an hour a night to work on various things like wiring up my Duallys, reverse flood light, and air compressor for my ARB locker. Then I can get the locker and gears installed...
