Why the change in percentage off this year I did my calculations on the 30% off from the last few years of the GB.
this may make it hard to get one this year. Please do the 30% off

That's their choice to make. Start budgeting harder.

Better to ask what I have not done.
Bobby can not go any lower then the 20% as it starts impeding on his dealers. And they don't like that so in good faith he is keeping his dealers happy and still trying his hardest to give us a opportunity at a great deal on a super product that is backed by super people. Also keep in mind that bobby does not have to run a group buy at all and after last years fandango I would not blame him. But he is any way.

I just have to smile when I know my tent I will be getting normally costs 2200 and I'm getting it for 440 less, in my book that's a good deal and thank bobby and his crew for it.

Just a clarification on the group buy. I am not handling the group buy I am only setting up a shipping group for people that where close to me. And bobby has allowed me to do two pallets worth. Once those two pallets are full of people that have already said that they are committed it will be done, there will be no third pallet unfortunately. And there is no need as of now to be pm'ing any one on what they want or starting any lists. Bobby will let us know when they get closer what we need to do. And we will be buying the tents like normal off the website. Once the group buy starts. So as long as you are subscribed to the thread and keep an eye out on the thread for updates on what to do, you are all set to go.

    Jake,

I can't buy a brand new car for $2000 anymore either. I tried to tell Mercedes I budgeted for it but they told me I should invent a time machine and go pound sand.

Which tent are most DCSB owners going with? About to order a bed rack and I don't want any of the tent over the cab. Suggestions?

DCSB owner here, looking like a Mt. Shasta is the largest that will fit on a bed rack and not overhang. Wish I could go larger without hanging off...

How does CVT compare against TJM rooftop tents?

Aside from quick internet research (CVT mattress is 2.5 inches thick, TJM mattress is 2 9/16 inches thick and other basic things...etc.), how is the build quality, materials used, stitching, waterproofing and other things not easily seen on the net compare against TJM/ARB? (Yes I know TJM and ARB are different companies but both they are nearly identicle in their equipment)

I only ask because the TJM is much cheaper. (Cheaper than ARB too). Can somebody that has seen both of these tents explain the differences?

Also, does anybody know what kind of discount CVT will be offering at the Overland Expo in May?
Or what kind of discount any rooftop tent manufacturer might be offering at the Expo?

I think during the CVT group buy, they're doing a 20% discount.

Don't know about the other companies quality, but I like my CVT Mt. McKinney.

Once again this is just a shipping group for some people in colorado this is not for the group buy itself.
