    i totally agree!
    i dont think its going to happen tomorrow or anything but when i had my meeting for my apprenticeship, they are trying for the next few years (likely 5-10 yrs, you know our government)
    the waiting list to get to school is long. thats why i mentioned the 'take it or leave it' offer :eek:

    that puts alot of ppl like my dad out of business been working as a carpenter since they were old enough to stand knows more than jesus about wood. these are the type of ppl i would want working on my house regardless of them having a ticket or not

    the issue is that for every good guy like your dad, there are 1500 dumbass bankers who lost their jobs, bought an econovan and slapped a sticker on the side calling themselves "bob's honest carpentry" and run around with a damn mastercrap drill!

    I'd say do it AK there are always weekends to make some $$$ to support yourself.

    yup and with all the government incentives i could pretty much do my schooling for free, they pay my gas and food but i wont make enough money for bills and such

    i've worked with a few guys like this over the last few years and they scare the shit out of me...they know nothing about the building codes and do whatever the hell they think is right :eek:

    this is true I'm just looking through the old mans eyes on this one. tickets would be a good idea to weed out but they would have to look at accommodating thats all. kinda what was done when the fac turned into pal/pol

    i've always been told look at a mans tool to tell what kind of craftsman he is. if he's got nothing but shiny new tools on sale at the crappytire be warry if he's got stuff that have seen some work and might have been his dads thats a man that takes care not only of his tools but of the work he is doing.

    if that makes any sense at all
