here is a slight mockup done quickly. Hopefully you understand where I am going with this. It would be a marketable product and would be able to accommodate the 40" and below bars. Modifying it would allow even the 50" bars. Since the design is to replace the caps at the end, it would allow ALL Frontrunner racks to mount in this manner.

Very Nice! I like the concept! You previously mentioned putting some Dually or D2's on the corners for 45 degree lights yeah? Can't remember...but that would be a nice mount point with a custom bracket that replaces the end caps on the rack... Maybe I'll just wait to see what you come up with...lol..:p

Nevertheless...the 40 is looking sweet on my rack. I blew a 15A fuse when I first turned it on, so I up'd it to 30A and it seems stable now. Curious what fuse you're using on your 40?

Chirp chirp chirp. CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP! CHIRP, chirp chirp. -flashing bright light... ..shadows..

As I roll over. All I can see are shadows. They are moving and calling out to me. "Dad, chirp chirp chirp!" Seemingly LARGE flowing monsters. Lucid dreaming is an interesting thing. My body goes through a whole range of emotions. Starts off as a slight sensation of fear. Then boils over to concern. Heart beats rapidly and the sensations of dread and anxiety rolls over me.

Finally after a few minutes of this, I wake up fully and realize what is going on. Suddenly, a sense of calm and a warming sensation comes over me. Catching myself hiding a smile, giddy as an excited child.

Innocence . I can't take my eyes off the scene that is unfolding before me. As it continues, I start to tear up and am overwhelmed by love and affection.

My youngest daughter has discovered shadow play and her little 'chic' hands are chirping back and forth with each other. She doesn't think anyone else is around, and as I realize the calls of "dad" were more of a test to make sure I was out cold.

As Giselle is playing in the lights, she glances over and catches me with my eyes open. Smiles warmly to me and invites me into her fantasy world of shadows. "Dad, come on, you can be the boy chics!"

Sitting on the ground and starting to chirp away. From chicks to birds and dinosaurs and fish. We are playing in the light with shadows. Just the two of us. Nothing matters right now to the both of us. Its just our shadow world of fantasy creatures.

Noises of excitement, wonder, laughter and joy are coming out of my daughter with such veracity that It warms me to the point of tears again. These are a wondrous thing. As my vision becomes a little blurry she looks to me and notices them.

I'm still grinning uncontrollably, as she comes over. Sitting in my lap she hugs me and kisses me on the cheek. "Dad, it's ok! The chicks aren't real. They will be ok. See, they are shadows. I can make them come back! 'Chirp chirp chirp' "

all I could do was hold her tightly and watch the wheels turning in that great mind of hers. whispers "Everything will be ok" with nods of approval to myself.

These moments we have with our children are precious and last forever in our minds. Hold onto them and cherish them forever.

    -Good morning world-

I'm counting the days for My Rotora BBK. Was at a meet tonight, few people checking out the truck. Mentioned the new Big Break Kit and peoples interests were spiked.

    Hurry up FEDEX! ;0

Rick. You seen the Baja Rack Spy design? Motorized rack mount. What would you think of a direct replacement mount like I outlined above, but with brushless high torque motors and metal gears integrated into the side mounts.

    Clean, slim, and universal.

Replaced Serpentine Belt, topped off the power steering fluid, tank of fuel, rotated the tires, Alignment, found out my Icon Vehicle Dynamics Billet UCA's ball joints are toast. Too much play in the passenger side, and driver side is already showing some play too. Fridge put back in the bed and starting to organize for the rest of the trip to NC & FL

Cant remember off the top of my head. Email or call them. Tell them that I sent you and they will hook you up with a deal

I researched all the various kits out there. Brembo, StopTech, Baer, Rotora, etc.

Ready to buy kits, Rotora was the company I found the best solution with. The other companies really were standoffish when I expressed my intentions. Some didn't even offer one for our truck. Then others in the same price point were only a 4 piston and to get to the 6 piston, was over a reasonable amount in price difference.

Biggest that was offered by the completion for this platform was a 355 (14") and their starting BBK was a 340mm (13.39"). Again for the price jump from a 340 to a 355 then an even greater jump to the 6 piston's. I was concerned with the pricing structure.

Eventually i found Rotora and they had the starting package as a 355 with the 6 piston setup. Asked for bigger and they told me a they had a 380. Asked for the 405 (16") and was told not for this platform.

The anticipation is killing me. The people at Rotora have been great so throughout the whole process so far. Couldn't ask for a better company to deal with.

Rob, on my drive back north in a week, If you want to check them out, let me know. I'll be headed up 95/295 towards DC. Could always make a slight detour if you want to meet somewhere and I'll let you drive the truck to test them too.

Lately my steering wheel was doing the shake between the 40-60 range getting better as the speed increased. After this alignment, I believe I figured out the issue. Both of my UCA ball joints have some play. So much so you could see the passenger side on the lift going nuts. Drivers side has a little also.

After the alignment, rotating the tires and seeing where I was with the ball joints and a little lube The drive home was not hateful. Once the BBK is on, there will be no need for the .25" spacers and the geometry will be much better.

Going to see if a shop in ST. Pete area can do the alignment after I get the brakes on, uniballs, and spacers off. Just so I am not putting another 1500 miles on the misaligned front end.

Just saw it...Wow...looks legit and sweet! I guess for aerodynamics it would be a good thing. I kinda like my light bar visible though as I don't have issues with wind noise, but very cool nonetheless...
