High Clearance Rear Bumpers. "Making the cut"

I've been looking at rear plate bumpers lately. I really like the idea of the high clearance models. Is there a solid write up on how to cleanly cut away the sheet metal from the bed to make room for the bumper? Cutting into my truck without any base of knowledge is terrifying to me.

Here you go - pretty much the same for all the bumpers but each brand requires a little bit different height cut which is pretty easy to figure out looking at pictures and using the tail light/body line as reference.

My suggestion for a HC rear is pelfreybilt. Can't go wrong with them.
