Actually only about 60k a year. Shutdowns are seasonal. Only do it in spring and fall. Then most people just claim unemployment during the offseason.

If I work year round doing new construction during the offseason as well then yea I'll make around 130k.

You can never make less money because of taxes by making more money.

 

Wish we only had shutdowns during spring and fall. Ours always tend to fall either during the hottest weeks of the year or when everything is covered in 2" of ice and it's 12 degrees outside

 

Im gonna keep all my receipts while traveling and pay someone to do my taxes and try to get a good return.

This Wyoming project I'm going to next = 7 days a week. 12 hours a day at $32/hr.

 

We mainly do power plants and power plants don't shut down when demand for power is at its peak so yea its gravy lol.
