    stock as of now
ive had these for about 4 months now. I had silverstars in and they barely lasted 6 months before one burnt out. i said F it and decided to splurge on these over the Lifetimes. the light output is amazeballs. so much better. even though it does look slightly scattered, i havent had a single person flash me yet.

    next is fogs.

has anyone put these in their fogs and got opinions? if so, what bulbs do i need? thanks.

I had these LEDS installed for about 2 weeks, I could not get a cut off line on the road no matter how many aiming adjustments I tried. The brightness is impressive but I prefer a clean cutoff line that my stock lights made. I didn't notice a big difference between high beam and low beam. My bulbs were in correctly, low beam facing up and high facing down.

Can you post pics from further than 3 feet away from wall? Just saw the 150.00 price tag on these, wow.

I took these out, I wasn't happy with them because there was literally no cut off, felt light a flood light bar was in my headlights.

I don't think they make a fog in this exact led. A 9005 will fit but the bulbs will be facing different directions on both sides.

I had silverstar ultras on my wife's old car but they don't even last 6 months. I've had my truck right at 4 years now and still on original bulbs. Any non hid recommendations?

Upgraded lightbulbs, replaced factory radio and speakers, steps bar, tonneau cover, fog lights wired to yellow side markers.
Easiest way is to find the led that is in-line with a tab, that is the top. The other led will be between the bottom tabs.

If the tabs and bulb orientation confuse you just make sure your bulb is situated like this, with one prong on top and two on the side, like the following:

I did both the headlights and the fogs, and the light output is amazing. I agree with some earlier posts that the high beams aren't really that much different than the lows, but the low beams + the fogs is spectacular. In my excitement, I forgot to take pics after I put the fogs in...

I'm not quite sure there is such thing as a "cutoff line" for non-projector headlights and I gather since you used these bulbs, you don't have projectors. Your stock housings emit light in a reflected sort of way. Stock halogen light is usually so dull and a natural colored that the scattered light isn't noticed as much. Which is why you saw more of that cutoff line look. When you start putting brighter emitting lights in you'll notice how much more scattered light there is. I may be wrong considering I'm not a headlight genius... Just a thought.

    Hello

I'm a new member to the boards, so I'll start with a hello.

I recently purchased a set of Brite Ass LEDs to replace my halogens that seemed to blow out every couple months.

Installation was pretty simple, and I was up and running in about 30 mins. I was quite impressed with the output of the lights, as they were a great improvement over the stock bulbs. I was concerned about oncoming traffic, as my commute to work takes me down a poorly lit, two lane road. Like others have stated, no flashing from other cars traveling in the opposite direction. There is a lot of ambient light on the sides of the road, but it does not seem to be affecting other drivers.

Now for the bad part. I had these installed about a week, and the driver's side bulb has failed already with normal usage. It appears that one of the diodes for the low beam light is not working, and the high beam diode is completely out.

I sent an email through the company's website on Friday, April 3rd, 2015, and I'm still waiting to hear back.

    Welcome to TW. :)

Unfortunately I doubt your luck will be much different with LED headlight bulbs. Nobody is making a bulletproof one, yet.

I don't know if it was the brightness of the led or what I think is the scattered light is the length and width of the led. I messed around with the led bulbs and if I did not lock it in and pulled the bulb out just a couple millimeters to mimic the stock bulb length, it was putting out a light pattern similar the the stock bulb. I'm no expert in this subject either, so after doing some research there is a led bulb out there I think made by Phillips and the LED lenght can be changed to change the pattern.

Not true. Reflectors are engineered to produce a cutoff of light. It will not be as sharp of a line as a projector can give, but it's definitely there. Shine it on a wall from 20 feet or so, or look at your light on the wall as you drive through a tunnel...I notice it all the time in various instances.
That's why HID kits are so obnoxious (assuming a retrofit was NOT done). They are no brighter than the HIDs in a Bimmer or Benz, its just that they shine straight in your face or mirror.

Probably more true on newer(ish) vehicles but for my 16 year old halogen housings, retrofit aside, they don't produce much of a cutoff line no matter what light source you put in there lol.
