Bruteforce Hybrid Front Bumper on Finally!!

Ok so the bumper is amazing!!! It wasn't to bad at all with the install, just had to figure out how to get the old bumper off and had to tweak the factory bolts a bit to align with the new bumper.

So I have a Matt123 skid on and it has the spacers that align it perfectly with the factory bumper, but now as you see with the spacers it has a 3" gap or so. If I remove the spacers will it fit?? Does anyone know so I don't have to remove and test fit again.

Also, should I keep the skid or remove?

 

Bumper looks great that skid looks like crap sticking way out there like that. IMHO ditch the skid and get an ifs skid and be done. Can probably sell that skid for most of the cost of the new one.


Also get rid of the frame extensions on the side

Yeah digging that skid you have adriancast. Who makes it and do you have a link to it? You kept your frame extensions I see? Isn't the extension the piece that allows the bottom two bolts to thread through? Or are there threads that that you can use when those extensions are removed?

 

Definitely get rid of it for something else.

 

Thanks. All Pro offroad. Beefy skid. Well I had the frame extensions on for like a week until I found a nut that had the same threads.

 

Actually I got a 1/4" plate(for the gap between the bumper and frame) and a nut and screw from Billy at Bruteforce and completely forgot about them. They are laying right where I was working on my bumper. I will get that all fixed up when I get home.

 

Nice truck! Bumper looks awesome man! Billy does great work. But yea, as others have suggested, might want to ditch the TRD skid and get a IFS skid that protects better and will match up good with the Brute Force Hybrid. I'm running Pelfreybilts IFS skid and I love it! Plenty of protection and super beefy.

 

Hell yeah that's sweet and thanks man. Does anyone know the thread size and length of the top two bolts to the factory skid. Mine are mia and I need to go grab a few more from home depot.

 

What did you all do at the bottom of the grill where all the clips went into the factory bumper? Its just loose now and only the clips and two screws at the top are holding it on.

The ones under the headlights just met me hammer eo they didn't hit the bumper

Damnnnn don't tempt me, but if I do you will be the first at dibs. I hate to ship it because it weighs a good bit and will cost a bit. Plus no idea how to package it??
