Bilstein 5100's at .85 over stock, Relentless fabrication aluminum skid plate.
I'm running 265/75/16 "Terra Grapplers" on this truck now, I installed Bil. 5100's set at .85 lift, and the truck sat perfect for me. Just a little high in the back, which is just fine. Last week, I put a Leer cap on it, (I'm going to guess here, around 180 lbs), and now the truck is setting level, until I load it up with camping gear. OK, this was expected. But I want it to set level, (Or close, maybe a bit tall in back) loaded up, (around 350 lbs). I'm looking at an "add a leaf" for the rear, and going up to the 1.75" setting up front on the billsteins. Has anyone done this? This truck sees a lot of flexy, desert trails...and the suspension gets used. Anyone's thoughts on this plan? What is a good add a leaf kit? Are some junk?

I like my wheelers 2in single AAL, handles load better than a progressive AAL. I have 5100's @ 1.75 in the front with a 1/4in lean spacer on the drive side, and the 2in AAL in the rear. I got a little over an inch of rake unloaded (no cap or anything) Throw a dirtbike and gear in the back (300ish lbs) and she sits right at level, if not still ever so slightly higher in the rear.

If you get an AAL and want a good ride make sure you get a progressive AAL. Toytec has a good one.

I called up the popular Off Road company here in town just a couple days ago. Told them I was curious as to what a 2-3" lift would cost for my 15 Taco. I was given a said and done price on an "OME" 2.5" lift kit for about $1,880. That was OME lift with the "dakar" leaf add, shipping, and labor.

He claims my truck would ride and handle better after this lift than it does with my stock SR5 4x4 setup.

That seems like a bit of a high price, since the parts are only about $1200 USD and not going to take 6 hrs (at a $110/hr average shop fee) to install.

OME rides and performs well. Whether it's "better" on road depends on your driving style and personal taste. I would say it's much better IMHO but I prefer the 5100's I installed.

The guy quoted me just over $1,100 for the kit/parts. $540 for labor. And freight I think was like $150. Something like that.

I bought the OME kit (heavy 886s) on Amazon with free shipping for $980. You probably want the standard 885s if you're not putting a bumper and winch on the front like I am.
