Totally. We coordinated the wifes family trip here from San Diego and Nebraska via train, plane and car through FB haha. Just faster... quick blerp sentence made planning relatively easy. Everybody knew what was going on 24/7

For the purpose of entertainment, check out this beauty, was sitting in front of the house the other day. I know there is a thread for mutilated auto's, but i'll just dump this here.

Can't help but notice, people tend to drive these otherwise mundane sedans 'hard' with the arm hangin, chair reclined stance bumping something from a weak-sauce dual 12" wal-mart sub stock component system.

Wrecked a rear tyre on my DRZ 400 last week. Wife came up with a brilliant idea and said, "lets make a clock out of it" vs throwing it out, thanks to Pinterest. The image is something similar but I used a wire clock from bed bath beyond to simulate the rim and match the exposed plies from cranking on the edges. I bought another tire and finally got it on... trick was keeping the rubber warm and windex spray

 

Very nice. I did something similar. I had a bent TRD rim. I made a compressed air hose storage out of it. Sorry no pics.

20 yrs ago or so I was commissioned to make a light out of a lola rim and tire from Linda St James indy car.
Mounted it on plywood, with motion detector peaking out above, red diffuser inside middle of rim, and red rope lights wrapped around rim inside tire. The rim was wasted and missing the outer ring so you could see the inside of tire.
It was mounted in owners bar in downtown San Antonio and picked up people walking by on sidewalk. then the ropelights flashed which gave the impression of spinning.
No pics.
Was super cool.

 

I refuse to get a FB page for most of the reasons listed above. Skygear most of those women aren't Women. My wife has a page she rarely visits or updates. I read most accounts on there are fictitious

That sounds pretty awesome! My rigged version doesn't really compare, but it is mounted in the living room above a cedar chest and custom lamp... I really should take an actual shot.

2 hrs for me. Catching up on Top Gear BBC S21E4... Really like the BMW i8 vs M3... and old Land Rover clip. Jeremy interviews Will Smith who is otherwise very cocky (expected) and distracted from the show IMO, but as usual Jeremy handled the arrogance well.

 

At home... finally! Normally 25min. turned into a harrowing 1hr ordeal thanks to the 7inches of wet snow that fell overnight, and still coming!

Not nearly as bad off as I was last night. Still gonna go and hunt me up a good cup of coffee. At least with my job, I get to find out what areas of this plant has the best coffee.

I know a group that brags about their StarBucks. Think I'm leaning that way.

 

Just got in an hour ago. It's quiet for now.
