First off, an apology; I just realized that my son has been posting under my user name and that some of his postings were offensive.

Second, does anyone know how I would go about getting an alcohol ignition interlock installed in my Tacoma and if I could somehow just enable it when I let my son borrow the truck.

If you suspect that, he shouldn't be allowed to borrow your truck at all.

There's no excuse for that, period, under any circumstances. I believe anyone who gets arrested for DUI should immediately lose their license forever with no chances to appeal it. A little mandatory jail time wouldn't hurt either so they can think about all the people they could have killed.

The install is cheap, like $250 or so, its the lease component which can be upwards of $100 a month. Better off just buying your kid a junker.

Let me get this straight. You don't trust your son to use your username in this forum, but you're willing to hand him the keys to your beloved truck regardless of his tendencies to drink and drive.

This makes zero sense to me.

I don't know for a fact that he drives impaired. But kids being kids, I would feel better having the interlock. Only problem is that I don't want to have to use it and the$100 monthly fee is allot. Maybe there's used ones out there.

aires 3D mats, scan gauge II, rear differential breather relocation, and bakflip G2 bed cover.
Sign him up for AA so he can see first hand how alcohol has destroyed other people's lives. Password protect the internet and make him get a job and buy his own vehicle and make him pay for his own insurance. Where does he get money to buy alcohol. Stop giving him everything he wants. It just strips his motivation to do anything with his life. If that don't work beat the living shit out of him.

You don't know if he drinks and drives you just assume so you want to buy that? Maybe try talking to him?

    I'm confused.
