Now that the high clearance rear was on, I had to put my recently acquired license plate on. Since the hitch and trailer plug is hidden behind plate, I went with a hinged flip up plate from Jegs. It didn't fit the pre existing holes so more were drilled to make it fit.


Next the rear swing out needed to be addressed. Eric at Relentless did a great job putting all the custom features I had asked for on the bumper. There was a little bit of a clearance issue though with the Hi-Lift base and the bumper. Not sure if there is a difference with the regular vs. extreme jack but when opening the gate it made contact and wouldn't open all the way.




You couldn't simple move it over one spot since the handle would then be in contact with the jerry cans.



Options were to grind away at the bumper part or cut the high lift handle a little. I chose option B since the bumper was JUST powder coated and didn't want to mess with it. So some measurements were took then cut the handle about and inch and everything lined up perfectly. Daytime photos to follow...

Then a big ass box came in the mail! Cruiser Outfitters sent it my way as soon as it was off the container. That'll have to wait till after I get back from my work trip.

Spliced the Rigid D2's into the factory fog light harness. Green is +12V and white with black stripe is ground for anyone wondering.


Next is to get this Warn 78" relocation kit for Zeon 10-S installed


Then make this winch fit in there.


Also picked up an extra Interstate Group 34 AGM battery for a dual battery setup. Here it is next to stock for size reference.

 

Instead of cutting the handle, why you didn't flip the Hilift, so the handle would be at the bottom, and the "nose" of the Hilift looking to the top?

That would be the logical solution but the working mechanism of the jack protrudes out more on one side than the other. It interferes when trying to mount it flipped over.

Thanks Sean! It's been a blast working on the truck and getting it to where it's at. Seems we have similar taste I've been pretty stoked with how it performs as well.

Tried this location first for the contactor


Had to smash in this part a little to clearance and position the winch where it needed to be. A few whacks did the trick.

Routed the extension cables under the groove in this channel and up through the headlight opening. Just unscrewed the two bolts to route cables.

Ended up moving it up and further back which was perfect length for the 78" leads. Will eventually place the control plug somewhere more permanent and possibly move the pack later on along with in cab controls.

Aaaaaaand then I high centered a few weeks ago at TDS then had to pull myself free.

 

Tire shock body rub at flex makes for shiny shocks. Just put some spacers on. Will see how that turns out.

Did you cut your flare more than the fender?

Yeah... I'm just lazy and haven't cut the rear fenders yet. They are on my long list of things to do as well as cut part of the rear bumper to match the flare line. There isn't any rub at full stuff so it's all good for now. I actually just took off the rear flares to start cutting the rear fenders and working on the flares some more.

 

That droop makes my private parts tingle

It's definitely nice having more drop and being able to keep both tires on the ground. Super impressed with how this setup handles the trails. Everything stays nice and level while the rear does its thing and articulates.

 

My friends already think mine droops. If I had the desire to relocate the shocks I'd go with the BAMF shock relocate too. I'm planning on flipping the shackles hopefully later this year but may be a next year job
