Seat belt light for sure. If it was the airbag sensor and you replaced your seats with aftermarket you would be SOL. Air bag goes off no matter what

Did you relocate your turn signals to the corners?

Yeah if only. I really like this thing, it gives much better grip when driving.

    I feel like I'm driving a BMW truck...and that's ok

How long did the instal take, I hate how plastic and thin my wheel feels, I had a sweet GT Wheel on my old 98 Tacoma that felt perfect.

My Acura even has a nice leather wrapped wheel.

Sadly the Tacoma really cant use aftermarket wheels without losing the turn signal recoil and horn relocated and issues with airbag.. :(

I used to have a a TRD supercharger on the Tacoma, converted back to NA when I bought the Tundra. The SC was tons of FUN!!!
I was jazzed after installing an Exedy clutch kit, new rear main seal and center bearing carrier ... the old truck drove like new :)

Then my intermittent starting issue popped-up again, so I installed a new ignition switch. It started up every time - for TWO DAYS - then nothing

After reading some more threads, I decided to buy a solenoid rebuild kit. An emergency situation came up and a friend needed a truck to tow his trailer to a desert camping trip we were going on. His Ford 4x4 ended up in the shop needing a new engine the day before we were to go, so I cut to the chase and just installed a complete new starter solenoid assembly.

Here she is in the desert:

    Cuddeback Tacoma.jpg

Question - How do I post a bigger pic? ... (this one is actually 1024x768)

I'll guess I'll rebuild the old solenoid and have the old starter assembly on the shelf, ready to go if/when the new one goes south.

Yesterday...changed oil, oil filter, greased zerks, and mounted my UltraGauge, but I may end up moving it.

Also, while changing my oil, I notice a bunch of gunk built up on the bottom of the engine where the oil pan attaches. It looked like dirt/oil mix but I've have never noticed an oil leak and the oil level has always stayed constant. Who knows how long its been there so I cleaned off all the buildup and will keep an eye on it. Anyone have any insight or ideas on what it could be or where it's coming from?

Check your valve covers and oil pan gaskets.

Question for y'all. 1999 4Runner with 180k miles. Is it worth it to do a 4wd swap or just sell it and try to buy a 4x4? It's completely stock right now

I asked the same thing about my truck and have seen others ask and most say just sell it and buy a 4wd
But its been more cost effective for me at least knowing the going price for yotas in my area to swap my truck to 4wd
Plus now i have a double cab with jshift tcase and manual hubs
    So it depends on
    How soon you need 4wd
    How mechanically inclined you are
And if its worth saving a little bit on converting the truck but having to wait for good deals on parts for a while
Hope this helps explain it a little bit

Speaking of, how difficult is it to change this out? I'm limited on time and tools, plus don't want to take it Toyota due to the price (unless I have to).

check for loose bolts first, its a small process best left to experienced mechanic as so you do not over tighten or damage anything.

Degrease the hell out of the affected areas and clean it best you can first them tighten anything loose.

Wait and see where its leaking from, When you check your dipstick, how low do you get before oil changes?
