I also have a thing for single cabs. Would love to build a single cab 2nd gen on the side.

 

I love the looks of a single cab but functionality would keep me from ever being able to own one.

Indeeeed. I'm waiting for landscape season and this semester to be done. Then I'll finally get to do some work and make some money. Can't work nearly as much while in school

What was it that you guys said about home ownership and time?

I wanted to do a couple little mods before Rausch but that's not happening at this point. The garage project is at least underway. Opened up the ceiling on Sunday and planned out how I am going to route the wires for the new lighting. I will also insulate the ceiling before next winter so I can install a heater. It does suck that the walls aren't insulated and I have no option to do so aside from tearing all the sheetrock down and installing it or doing spray in foam.

 

Spray in is $$$ right? I've put in lots of the rolled up stuff. Not too bad unless it gets on you or in your throat

 

There are blow-in types as well, could save your sheetrock. My neighbor rented a machine, almost the reverse of a vacuum, that shreds the bags of the blow-in style insulation and then blows it through a hose and into the walls.

 

+1 just helped my buddy do this in his attic before winter. we've had a substantially cold winter & he has saved on his gas bill compared to last year.

 

That's not a bad idea as well. I may consider an option like that after I setup all my outlets and what not.
