Yea that's a good idea about the 10mm spacers. I already have some 3/8" spacers sitting in my garage but those might be too big lol.

I was wondering why you didn't go w/ 883's actually? Maybe because you have the tube trail gear bumper? I'm pretty sure I remember reading that my AP tube bumper weighs in close to most plate bumpers. I'll just make sure to ask the dudes at wheelers and I'm sure I'll be fine with whatever they recommend.

Alright! Tacoma is back in action. Got some good ol wrenching done today. I'm pretty happy with the shocks toytec sent me, they are basically brand new except for the springs! Even gave me free shipping! They also got rid of the heim joints and just put rubber bushings in their place which I like actually. (Less moving parts less shit to brake..) also re booted my passenger side CV axle. Installed the cbi hood mounts and put my antenna on for shits and giggles lol.. Then I banged out my fender wells a little so my tires wouldn't rub on the way home. Got a lot done today!

    Pictures will come tmrw.

Haha it's not that bad actually.. For some reason my speedometer is spot on perfect now though. Definitely foresee a regear w/ ARB locker in rear coming within a few months.

I'm hoping the 04 exhaust manifold I swap in will help a little bit and the new vapor canister.

Got some nice stainless pipe clamps on my intake instead of those crappy wire clamps.. Also got most of my blue silicone vacuum lines on, don't think any of those actually made a difference but it looks/feels cleaner in the engine bay now.
Thinking I'll do the deck plate tonight if I can find some silicone/gasket sealer type stuff in my tool buckets.

Were you able to do the deck plate? I'm curious if that will help your acceleration noticeably.

i bought the wrong size deck plate hahah.. opps.. new one should be arriving today so i will let you know.. i haven't put on my 04 exhaust manifold yet either, still kind of in the process of porting them (its taking forever)

some updates of things I've done:
finished redoing all my vacuum lines with blue silicone lines.
redid a lot of my old stereo wiring/test fitted CB radio
cleaned up a ton of little rust spots
    fixed the passenger door lock
    vacuumed the carpet

Got my cb radio mounted today and the coax cable is connected. Only thing I'm waiting on is the switch for it. I kinda put a little hole in my heater duct but nothing a little duct tape can't handle lol..

Also does anyone know where to get rubber grommets or something to prevent water from getting in the hole I put the cable through?

I might come for the camping this run, but my girlfriend doesn't get off school(every Saturday) until around may 16th ish. After that I will probably be coming to a lot more trips. Plus I should have locker/gears around then too.

How big is the whole you need to seal? I like to split fuel line hose long ways and use that to protect wires (by using the rubber hose as a sort of ring type grommet or sharp edge covering), but that might not seal as good as you want. Did you drill a hole or use a factory hole?

Used the factory antenna cable hole, just had to enlarge it slightly for the coax to fit through. I found a nice grommet made by firestick for the exact purpose of what I want.

    Deck plate mod (check)

Also soldered some wires up. Soldering in the wind sucks, I think it was also cause the wires were not super clean..

not really sure if i noticed anything after installing the deck plate, it did seem a little bit smoother/easier to accelerate. Hopefully i can get this 04 exhaust manifold on soon.

That's about what I noticed around town, but it helped on sustained freeway climbs (or passing).
